I will share this article about the underrated cards, in my opinion hold great value. You're reading of this publication will be finished before you even noticed anything.
So no worry about your current program, stay here and enjoy the discovery of cards you have seen then barely saw in the arena, but those cards can put your new cards lineup to a permanent sleep.
I love the green elementary category in the collection. The earth based warriors are present in the game, but personally I do not really use them. It is a mistake because many in the collection of earthen warriors are great fighters.
A /. Which card do you think is underrated?
My first thought went straight to the earth warrior Grund. An epic warrior of melee potential with double strike and trample and cripple.
I remember I played this card very much in the Silver and Gold league.
After entering the Diamond league, I stop putting this card in my selection. I was not overwhelmed but the opposition firepower at Grund in the first row. It was my entire selection on the earth set who did not go with the way I build my strategy.
It is fun to see now my Grund very active in the Survival Mode and sometime get his position liquidate.
I have a second card that I loved to play in the earth selection. It is the Pelacore Mercenary.
I am still looking for opportunity to play with this card. I know that my current asset of summoner in the earth category is not tailored to protect and boost melee warriors in the highest level of combat, so I naturally move to other selection such as Light and Death elements.
If you have used those two warriors in your last 20 battles in splinterlands it means that you have a strong strategy to expose this legend against the powerful newly released abilities.
B /. How do you use it effectively in battle?
The combat in the arena changes from league in the low ranking to the higher ranking. It is well-known that in the lower league, retaliation or healing abilities are very respected among warriors. However, in the Gold or above it is not enough to survive the opposition
I will target the battles, in which those cards appeared in the highest possible league, so we can all appreciate the performance of those exceptional warriors from the old age.
B.1 / Grund Performance
It was not easy to find a combat in higer league when Grund was on the winning side. Except the rare battle where Grund team lost I had just no result from the best players I follow in Diamond and Champion League.
I know that I have only simple 15 players in the higher league it is not representative of the thousand active players in both highest league of Spllinterlands
In the arena, Grund came in the first line. I could see that he was exposed to the magic attacks from the enemy side. Hopefully the magic void gifted by the summoner to all friendly warriors will protect his position.
Tofu seems to be the summoner who give a second chance to hold cards that still have potential in intense combat.
Unfortunately, the opposition too powerful Thanalorian Blade was not playing in this combat. I was thinking about the presence of triage to support the taunt warrior in Tofu team, but the player chose another ability to give.
Grund had no protection against magic attack. The strategic combination with Mycelium taunt protected his position, but the recovery of the second warrior in the earth team was not significant compared to the rapid accumulation of damage.
B.2 / Mercenary Skills
You will see that in the combat where only melee warriors are allowed in the arena the selection with Pelacor Mercenary is not weak against the mighty Astral Death squadron
Resurrection poison and the repair of armor could not stop the march forwards of the is interesting team of Earth warriors.
The summoner Tofu is a serious player in the strategy that led to the victory of his team. In this battle, melee a weak against thorns backfire. Astral did provide resurrection, but it was not as powerful as the healing triage scavenge abilities that support the thorns gift from Tofu.
It was well played by the Tofu team in the arena. In the battle you will see that at some point the Mercenary was playing the role of a tanker in the selection, protecting the back line. The recovery from the damage was very fast. Retaliation had a total useful role in this melee only combat.
Mercenary role in the arena was perfect.
C/. Have you surprised an opponent with an unexpected strategy?
It is rare to surprise an opponent in the Diamond League. However, I found a nice battle in Gold league in the modern league where the opponent seemed to no pay much attention to the rulesets.
I had a right combination of cards in a low mana battle. I wish the battle link was at the tip of my fingers to show you the rapid win in one round.
The opposite situation happens frequently in the higher league. I had a strong understanding of the strategies before the battle start, but the opponent summoner shifts the focus to a different style of defense.
Final thoughts
Even though I am not a great user of Pelacor Mercenary and Grund in the Diamond League, I am a fan of these two powerful warriors in the Silver and Gold League.
There are interesting strategies to build with these cards when you use summoner like Tofu or other amazing earth and dragon summoners
It is not a lack of interest, but the investment to get the right cards that will boost the performance of those that kept those forgotten cards idle in my collection.
