The community engagement challenge of the week has come at the right time when I was looking for a way to surpass the limitation of Halving during an intense battle.
I am sure many are fan of this ability that cut in half the offensive performance on the attack section of any warrior on the field.
It can be difficult to include this counter strategy in your selection while you are thinking about the rulesets and all possibilities available to the opponent.
I hope you will find in this series of four random battle the best combination to include in your line, the right warriors that will keep in check the opposite side whether Halving ability appears on the battlefield.
A /. What if dispel and cleanses intervene!
The set has opened with the major magic element on the board. Arkemis was the card with the halving. His first row role was not easy since he has no defense against magic attacks. I saw how fast he was destroyed and the rest of the blue team led by Mystic overpowered the Vegas line.
It was easy to eliminate the cards equipped with halving and then secure the victory. You will see in the next battle that the scenario can get more complex and your team composition should take in consideration these components.
B /. Powerful win of halving warrior
One original composition where fire element are on both side of the board. I don't know what will happen, but I see many magic warriors on the board.
After the first battle, we can easily understand the weakness of Arkemis when his defense suffer magic elemental attacks.
In this battle we have on each side of the board Arkemis in the front line, but the difference here is the number of magic warriors.
Prismatic Energy had a very strong team with enough speed to overcome the attacks from the enemy, but the first round attacks were directed to the protection build with the help of Arkemis while the enemy strike harder on the life point of the opponent with much more magic power.
It was impossible to stop Countess Sinash team after the elimination of Prismatic Energy. A double strike with 3 points magic attack significantly damage the enemy defense.
C/. Venka eliminates halving yet lost the battle
This battle get more exciting considering the position of the Halving bearer in the lineup and the potential forces raised to control the outcome in this combat.
It was not interesting to use magic attack due to the ruleset reflection of magic given to all unit in the arena.
Melee and range warriors populated the board, and Arkemis made his appearance in the front line.
Astral team was legendary. I looked multiple time to find a potential breach in this defense, but I only saw tremendous force to put pressure on the opponent.
Venka had a serious potential to cause enough damage that resurrection could not compensate, but his 11 point of attack was not enough.
The Delya team did their best against this monstrous team with at his head the dangerous Astral summoner.
I knew that some lesson from this battle should serve in the future. The weakness against magic and the possibility to take down Arkemis playing Venka in a double enrage mode.
D/. Eternal life Points when halving opposed itself
Here is the last battle. It is an epic confrontation at the highest level imaginable on the battlefields.
Could you guess which team is going to take the first position in the last round?
I did not succeed to find the best team on the first trial, but I noticed something that will surely make your line up stronger than ever.
The equalizer in the ruleset gave free room to the player to bring in the arena the best possible abilities to challenge the other side of the board.
Magic attacks made their appearance on the board, since no limitation was activated. The party on the board knew the effectiveness of the magic attack, so halving was on Baron cards at a good distance of the front row.
Mimosa team seemed to have the advantage due to the void ability present on his friendly team. Although Lorkus did not protect his team from magic attacks, he made available poison and life leech.
Venka was the hero during this combat. He added life to his reserve each time he hit the opponents. Poison were distributed and the Baron on the mimosa team could not stop Venka.
Also, corrupted healing played a vital role to maintain a key warrior like Venka on the battlefield longer than it was possible.
Almo had no change against the poison and 8 direct points of attack from Venka. The tanker Almo with the corrupted healing in a normal battle is the best set for defense in my opinion.
E/. Tips to succeed if Halving ability shows up in the arena
After multiple reviews of the four battles shared in this article, I came to a simple conclusion. If magic warriors are free to enter the arena, it is not a good idea to put Arkemis in the front row. Also in the case of a possible backup with Mimosa then if is a possible to entertain playing with Arkemis in the front row.
The more interesting set up lies in the battle where Baron is the halving warriors and the Venka combination with Arachne Weaver and Almo is just a celestial dream team that should take everything on his way up to victory.
I wish you all the best in the Diamond and Champion League if you come across such situation when Halving surprises all the parties and then get kick out of the battlefield.
