It's always fun to try challenges. We can test cards that we do not usually use in various circumstances.
Thanks to @splinterlands for these challenges and helping the community.

Card

CARD.PNG

Wave runner is a common reward card. With its Reach ability, the card is clearly made to be placed in second position.

Wave runner gains the Knock-out ability at lvl 5 which allows him to do double damage if paired with a card that has the ability to stun, as well as Snare at lvl 8 which removes Flying from cards hit.

The card has good offensive stats for its cost (2 Melee and 3 speed at lvl 1). On the other hand, the health is rather low for a second tank.

Cards & Strategy

BORTUS

Bortus is one of the only correct sumonner if we go on a melee build. If we add the fact that for the mana pool of this fight, there was a good chance that the opponent would use Alric, it was a good choice.

DEMENTED SHARK

As we go for a melee build, Demanted shark is recommended for the Inspire ability which gives 1 melee damage to all my cards. It can also serve as a tank, so it will be my card in first position.

WAVE RUNNER

The challenge card, we use it in second position because of the reach ability. We hope he will kill quickly the opponent tank with his 3 damage with inspire.

SABRE SHARK

The third shark will kill the last opponent card because of sneak ability. With the speed and the speed reduction of Ooze, big chance that the last card is dead if it has 2 health or less.

FEASTING SEAWEEK

Big melee damage and opportunity, i say yes. Hopefully, the card can kill something before it's too late. I learned to hate cards with a speed of 1 because it will miss everytime but we go all out melee damage.

WATER ELEMENTAL

Water elemental is a good last card because of his heal. You can also use it in second position if you assume the opponent will use cards with snipe. In this situation, we assume will use magic card so will put him in last just in case.

CREEPING OOZE

1 mana left, you put creeping ooze. Doesn't work all the time, but in low league, it's very effective. A body and a speed reduction for all the opponent cards is always good.

Opinion

Wave runner is not a bad card but in low league, most of the time we prefer to kill cards other than the tank which is the only card with a correct health. If we add the fact that there is no good water summoner to play a melee build, it is difficult to play Wave runner correctly. But it is possible that with a good stun card it will be ok.

It's also important to add that sharks are pretty cheap cards to rent, so it can be quite easy to play a good line-up for little.
