Splinterlands Chaos Legion Phase 2 sale has finally ended and we are now in Generale Sale. It has been a long ride waiting for this event to start. There were lots of ups and downs with my experience with Splinterlands.
I’ll give you guys a recap on my experience…I don’t remember the exact date when I started playing Splinterlands but it was around the year 2020. I bought the entry pack worth $10 and after some time added another $265 when the game went well.
This was before gaming token prices went on a pump-and-dump event. When the pump event came, I was able to add another $2,000 investment in Splinterland from the tokens I’ve earned from Axie Infinity’s Smooth Love Potion. The $2,000 was spent on buying specific cards instead of card packs. Most of it was on Legendary Cards and the rest was spent on weaker cards.
My total card value from $2,000 shot up to $15,000 for a brief moment. The bullish momentum started slowing down then the dump slowly started to take in. The value of my cards went from $15,000 to around $10,000 so my instinct was to sell them all before it became too late.
Everything sold out and I came to have 1,085, 352 Dark Energy Crystals. Another reason why I decided on selling them was because of the Splinterlands Shards Airdrop. Selling them and converting them to DEC gave me more Airdrop Points than holding the cards.
Now I have a total of 1,085, 352 Dark Energy Crystals and 8,337 Splintershards. Sadly, this event isn’t a happy ending. The bear market took a major turn in my holdings. My $10,000 DEC became $3,800 DEC almost back to the same value that I initially invested. Current value of my SPS is what you see in the screenshot above. Everything felt depressing when whales dumped a huge sum of tokens and I’m still left waiting with hopes of the value returning to what it was.
Time has passed and here arrives Chaos Legion. During the events of Presale Phase 1 and Phase 2, I bought myself 61 Chaos Legion card packs. Never will they be opened until the time is ripe. My strategy will be to save all the airdropped SPS tokens and wait for a miracle that some entity will pump the price back to its All-Time-High of $1.07. If that ever happens before Chaos Legion packs get sold out, there will be more packs in my inventory compared to what SPS is valued this time.
I got an Airdrop Card out of the first 3 they got me only 1 on which card I think is kind of overpowered. The cards that I didn’t get are **Doctor Blight and Baakjira, **which are both legendary cards. Instead, I got myself a Uriel the Purifier which is also a legendary card and overpowered when stats are maxed.
Uriel The Purifier is a Life Unity with, at max stats,** 4 Attack Damage, 3 Speed, 6 Armor, and 12 Health**. What’s impressive about this card are the abilities:
- Flying - Has an increased chance of evading Melee and Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability.
- Recharge - This monster attacks every other round but does 3x the damage.
- **Heal **- Restores a portion of Monster’s health each round.
- Redemption - When this monster dies, it does 1 damage to all enemy monsters.
This card is so good as a frontliner and team-up with a deck of cards full of heal and armor regen with a little bit of backdoor damage to utilize the Redemption ability. Don't forget the 3x damage every other round.
Chaos Legion pack sale is still ongoing, around 8 million remaining but I’ll wait until there are less than 1 million packs available. Maybe a miracle might happen that pumps back the cryptocurrency market back to the all-time-highs.
I’ve never really had any breakthrough with Splinterlands. The highest rank I’ve reached was only Gold 1 but I’ve never gone beyond that. I’ve never even won top placement in any tournaments. I’m tempted to try the rankings again and see if my skills can reach the top.** In my next upcoming blog posts will be Play-To-Earn Gaming to test and see how much is the possible income playing Splinterlands full-time at least a month. Let’s stick to that until there’s a solid ground on what my major content will be.**
The packs are not nearly sold out. There are 8.5M packs remaining.
(total is 15m not 8.5M)
Nice return on investment though!
50% sales in a short amount of time is already almost sold-out for me. Pack sales daily are at around 100k packs daily.
That is simply not correct.
This is phase 3 of the sale - so we are already a few months in the process.
Presale + general sale = still below 50%
The short time general sales are high but just not what you claim them to be.
