The end of the wait
It's been a long wait, but it's finally been rewarded - Rebellion is here! The expansion was released as planned on December 5 following the Splinterlands update, and everything seems to have gone according to plan.
Well done to the teams for their commitment!
More surprisingly, the Splinterlands servers and blockchain don't seem to have suffered from the extra activity, and I haven't even experienced any slowdowns.
In short, as you can see, everything went smoothly. Rebellion is finally here, bringing with it huge changes to our favorite game. First of all, Untamned is (finally) moving out of the modern format, leaving its place to the last two blocks, Chaos Legion and Rebellion. This completely reshuffles the deck, and that's a good thing!
The strategies have yet to be created, the maps have yet to be discovered, and everything remains to be done.
So, in this article, I've decided to tell you how I felt about my first steps with Rebellion.
Pack opening
I had bought around thirty packs during the pre-sale, through a group buy offered by my TYC guild. By the way, if you're interested in this kind of practice, group buys are often offered, and you can take part even if you're not a member of the guild.
The easiest way to keep up to date is to join the Discord.
My technique was simple: all the legendaries and golds I opened were resold. I then bought new packs on the secondary market. So I opened approximately thirty packs, plus sixteen packs from resale earnings.
This allowed me to already have a number of cards commuted to level two. As I'm primarily a silver league player at the moment, the important thing for me was to have as large a playable card pool as possible.
As the operation is still ongoing, I think I'll be able to buy another four or five packs in the next few days.

First ladder matches with Rebellion
I have to admit that the first time I loaded a game with Rebellion I was surprised as soon as the summoners were selected!
In games with lots of color choices, it really does make for an enormous amount of possibilities.
Judge for yourself, here are all the summoners available for a match with all playable colors
On a minor note, I think the new cards are very pretty, but lose a little in legibility. It's not easy to determine the color of a card at a glance. Of course, when I know the illustrations by heart, as I do with Chaos Legion, this won't be a problem.
I've got the impression that everyone's a bit confused like me, because I'm seeing very few Rebellion cards in the compositions and, for the moment, no summoners!
Nevertheless, I've played a few myself, with varying degrees of success so far.
I'll be paying particular attention to the evolution of the compositions over the coming weeks in order to adapt my compositions and develop my own combo and synergy.
What is clear, however, is that Gladius and Soulbound cards are now part of almost every match played.
My goals
As for the league I'm playing in, silver suits me well, and I don't think I'll be aiming any higher for the time being. That would have too great an impact on my rental costs. (Although, to be honest, the game is much more interesting in the gold league).
I'd like to have all the common Rebellion summoners at level six to start with, and certainly some key cards that I haven't determined yet. I also plan to continue completing my Chaos Legion deck.
Although prices have risen, this collection is still very affordable and has many cards that are indispensable to anyone hoping to achieve victory in the arena.
Closing remarks
It's been a long wait for Rebellion, but the reward is worth the wait. A real breath of fresh air blows through Splinterlands. The arrival of Lands in parallel brings confidence in the game's future. The only thing missing now is a real influx of newcomers to revitalize this ecosystem, which has everything it takes to succeed.
More than ever, I want to believe in it.

La fin de l’attente
L’attente fut longue, mais elle est enfin récompensée, Rebellion est là ! L’extension est sortie comme prévu le 5 décembre à la suite de la mise à jour de Splinterlands, et tout semble s’être passé comme prévu.
Bravo aux équipes pour ce gage de sérieux !
Chose plus surprenante, les serveurs de splinterlands et la blockchain ne paraissent pas avoir souffert de ce surcroit d’activité et je n’ai même pas eu de ralentissement.
Bref, vous l’avez compris, tout s'est bien passé. Rebellion est enfin là, amenant avec elle d'énorme changement dans notre jeu favori. Tout d’abord Untamned sort (enfin) du format modern et laisse donc sa place aux deux derniers blocs, Chaos Legion et Rebellion. Cela rebat complétement les cartes et c’est une bonne chose !
Les stratégies sont à créer, les cartes à découvrir, tout reste à faire.
J’ai donc décidé de vous parler dans cet article de mon ressenti lors de mes premiers pas avec Rebellion.
L’ouverture des packs
J’avais acheté lors de la prévente environ une trentaine de packs, en passant par un achat groupé proposé par ma guilde TYC. D’ailleurs, sachez que si vous êtes intéressée par ce genre de pratique, des achats groupés sont souvent proposés, vous pouvez y participer même sans faire partie de la guilde.
Pour être tenu au courant, le plus simple est de rejoindre le Discord.
Ma technique était simple, Toutes les légendaires et les golds foils que j’ai ouverts, on était revendus. Avec j’ai racheté de nouveau pack sur le marché secondaire. J’ai donc ouvert approximativement trente packs plus seize packs issus des gains de la revente.
Cela m’a permis d’avoir déjà un certain nombre de cartes commue au niveau deux. Comme je suis avant tout un joueur qui évolue en ce moment en ligue argent, l’important pour moi était d’avoir un pool de carte jouable le plus large possible.
L’opération étant toujours en cours je pense pourvoir acheté encore quatre ou cinq packs dans les prochains jours.

Premiers matchs en ladder avec Rebellion
J’avoue que la première fois que j’ai chargé une partie avec Rebellion j’ai été surpris dès la sélection des invocateurs !
Dans les matchs avec beaucoup de choix de couleurs, cela fait vraiment énormément de possibilité.
Jugez-en plutôt par vous-même, voici tous les invocateurs disponibles pour un match avec toutes les couleurs de jouables
Petit bémol, je trouve que les nouvelles cartes sont hyper jolie, mais perde un peu en lisibilité. Il n’est pas évident de déterminé en un coup d’œil la couleur d’une carte. Bien sûr quand je connaitrai par cœur les illustrations comme c’est le cas pour Chaos Legion, cela ne sera plus un problème.
J’ai ‘impression que tout le monde est un peu paumé comme moi, car je vois très peu de carte de Rebellion dans les compositions et pour l’instant aucun invocateur !
Néanmoins, j’en ai moi-même joué quelques-unes avec plus ou moins de succès pour le moment.
Je vais être particulièrement attentif à l’évolution des compositions dans les semaines à venir afin d’adapter mes compositions et de développer mes propres combo et synergie.
En revanche, ce qui est clair, c'est que les Gladius et les cartes Soulbound font désormais partie de presque chaque match joué.
Mes objectifs
Concernant la ligue dans laquelle, je joue, silver me convient bien et je ne pense pas viser au-dessus pour le moment. Cela aurait des répercussions trop importantes sur mes couts de location. (Bien que pour être honnête, le jeu est bien plus intéressant en ligue gold)
Mes objectifs seront donc plutôt la complétion de ma collection, j’aimerais avoir tous les invocateurs Rebellion commun au niveau six dans un premier temps et certainement certaines cartes clé que je n’ai pas encore déterminé. Je compte également continuer à compléter mon deck Chaos Legion.
Bien que les prix ai augmenté, cette collection reste très accessible et compte de nombreuse carte indispensable à qui veut espérer remporter la victoire dans l’arène.
Le mot de la fin
L’attente pour Rebellion fut longue, mais la récompense est à la hauteur. Un véritable vent de fraicheur souffle sur Splinterlands. L’arrivée des Lands en parallèle amène de la confiance dans le futur du jeu. Seul manque à présent un véritable afflu de nouveaux arrivants afin de redynamiser cet écosystème qui possède tout pour réussir.
Plus que jamais, j’ai envie d’y croire.

You have some great goals for your Splinterlands progress! Having the common rebellion summoners at level six is a smart plan, as they can be very useful in battle. And completing your Chaos Legion deck will give you a nice set of cards to work with.
I noticed you are no longer on the zealy marketing campaign. You no longer solve quests. I'm encouraging you to rejoin the campaign, there are lots and lots to learn with great rewards.
