Undoubtedly, around June 2021, Play to Earn Game (P2E) became so popular in the Philippines because of Axie Infinity. It was so popular that you can see people post about it from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, and even Players doing Live Stream in Facebook Gaming. However, I found myself in no capacity to shelve out $1000 (that time) for an Axie Team. :( Sad haha
With the limited budget, I did search for other P2E and I came across Splinterlands. And guess what! I found it interesting and started to play the game. Here are my 5 reasons why I decided to play this game!
Splinterlands is an established game. It already exists since 2018 and was formerly called "Steem Monster". And since it was established a long time before, we can say that it already polished its game mechanics to make your gaming experience satisfactory.
It is relatively cheaper compared to other games. At $10 you can already have a Summoner's Spellbook that will give you access to some playable cards. And when you have it, you can now earn rewards, join tournaments, and trade on the market. Yes! you can trade on the market since upgrading Summoner's Spellbook will also give you a unique HIVE account. Note that aside from the playable cards, you still need to have other cards to have a stronger deck. You can have it by buying, trading, or thru daily quest and Season Rewards.
It has its own app that you can download on the google play store. The app right now is already functioning as intended but will be improved to cater to the needs of the players. BTW playing in web browser is still good!

You can make money by (1) Winning Battles to earn Dark Energy Crystal (2) Selling Cards (3) Joining Tournaments (4) Accumulating SPS Airdrop points. To be honest, the earning right now is relatively small as compared to other P2E games but I'm looking forward :) ( I hope you enjoy first the game while earning money :) )
