Splinterlands Battle Mage Secrets: Unprotected as a Ruleset

Custom dimensions 2500x1800 px.jpeg

Hello Hive

It's another gaming day and a presentation of a battle with the unprotected ruleset. In this week's battle mage secrets, I have presented one of my brawl battles featuring the given ruleset of the week. I will, however, in the next few paragraphs be discussing the best possible ways to achieve success while faced with the rulesets given. As usual, I will do so after extending my invitation to interested fellows. To all fans of the things we do here, this is the announcement post of this week's battle mage secrets. It provides the guidelines for eligible participation.

Unprotected

The unprotected ruleset is one that exposes all monsters to direct physical hits by disabling the armors of the monsters. It doesn't matter how much armor a monster is built with, in this ruleset, they lose it all and battle without any. This removal of armor includes armor stat gained from summoners. In short, no armor is allowed as long as this ruleset is concerned. This is a good thing for melee kind of monsters because without armor they thrive. However, melee monsters fall under some of the best monster consideration for this ruleset.

Strategic Selection and Positioning of Team

The strategy of the presented battle is dependent on the three rulesets given. Taking into consideration the ruleset "what doesn't kill you" which gives all melee monsters the enrage ability and also the other ruleset, I opted for a melee lineup. In addition, since it's a brawl battle, the use of gladiator cards is allowed

OBSIDIAN

Technically, this summoner is associated with magic and might be perceived as not the best choice for this battle but for me, it can summon the monsters I have identified and selected for the battle. There is a ruleset in the battle which permits only the use of odd mana monsters, Since I identified the monsters believed to give me a win, the summoner used didn't matter so much again. This is to say, the only part played by this monster is just the summoning of the team.

PALIDON RAKK
The strategy behind the selection of this monster is the fact that one, it is a blood-lust monster, two, it has a good number of health, and three, it is a melee with a high damage rate which was about to get better with the enrage ability
Palidon Rakk fits in the defense position perfectly because, with the presence of the enrage ability and the absence of armor, one hit will trigger the enrage thereby increasing its number of damage and when this high number of damage eliminates a monster, it triggers the blood-lust which in turn further increases the stat of the monster. As a matter of reality, the team was built around this monster as the other teammates were present to play support

THANE NEWSONG

The last statement above mentioned playing support. That is exactly what this monster did. With the inspiring ability of this monster, the melee monsters on the team gained an additional one melee weapon. This factor and every other previously mentioned made the defender stronger and more formidable.
This monster also has a good number of health which makes it impossible for it to be eliminated with just one strike, thereby buying time for the main fighting monster to gain more strength.

MYCELIC MORPHOID

The entire team was summoned on level one, so their advanced ability was not explored. As a result, this monster didn't get to use its advanced thorn ability and was just there to take a hit delaying the time before the enemies got to the main battling monster. Its presence and that of the other teammate helped the defense monster gain more strength
