(This is an update of this post.)
I wanted to do something different this week for the art contest. I don't think I will come close to winning, but it is a fun, creative activity that I enjoyed! I often draw cute kawaii type characters with my daughter. Perhaps at some point in the future I can share some of the things that I have drawn in the past, but for now I will stick to Splinterlands content.
Since the competition and level of talent with this contest is crazy, I feel the need to take my art in a different direction. I can’t compete with anyone based on skill, so I am hoping to turn heads with my cute, whimsical Splinterlands badge that I have created. Or perhaps it is more of a logo, for what, I'm not sure yet. Someday when we are allowed to have custom guild badges, perhaps I can use it for that.
Materials:
-Microsoft Paint (maybe someday I can upgrade)
-Surface Pro
Theme: Splinterlands
To start, I outlined the basic layout with a circle and a star centered around it. I envisioned a summoner from each type in the center, with a dragon summoner overlooking. This is why I used the five pointed star to separate. I should point out that I forgot to save a pic of the outline before I began. Whoops!
Next, I envisioned a tiny version of the Splinterlands landscape from above in the center. There is a volcano spewing lava and a giant crack that formed in the land where the lava is draining to. This crack in the land is where horrible monsters crawl out. Perhaps these monsters will be revealed in a future work of art, but we're getting off track here.
Next, I filled in the death summoner, Thaddeus Brood. I use him often. He takes away magic and health, but he appears to be so sweet:
I think he looks awesome.
Then, I moved on to Kelya Frendul, a water summoner. I also use her frequently, but hate going up against her, because I often lose. She’s trouble!
She looks harmless here though!
Then came one of my favorite Life summoners, General Sloan.
He really is a badass card, but he certainly is not a badass in my creation.
After General Sloan, I moved on to Earth.
I honestly use Obsidian the most, but I love Lyanna Natura’s flower.
I think she turned out ADORABLE!
I saved the best for last. Fire!
I do not have this card, Malroc Inferno, but I have rented him before. He is fierce!
Next, I needed to add in the dragon summoner, Drake of Arnak.
I envisioned him overlooking the Splinterlands world, waiting for his chance at world domination. So here he is, creeping in the shadows, waiting to pounce!
I can't wait to see all of the other submissions for the art contest! It is amazing how talented people are and what they are able to create when they are passionate about something. If you like my art, feel free to comment, upvote or reblog if you feel like it. I appreciate it so much!
