Splinterlands Art Contest - Week 177 - Sandworm versus Uraeus

Good Evening my fellow Splinterlanders! Today I have created my submission for the Splinterlands Art Contest that should be starting over tomorrow. Yes, I know I can’t compete with most of the artists out there doing submissions, but here is my mediocre entry anyway!

I have always enjoyed battling with Sandworm, because of his high attack, and also with Uraeus because of his sneak ability. So what better match up could there be but Sandworm vs. Uraeus? Poor Uraeus didn’t stand a chance.

First I drew a quick sketch to get an idea of what I was going to do.

Then, I filled in a few details. I took some liberties with the colors:

Next, I added even more detail, and a little shading. It’s starting to come together.

Initially I was happy with simple X eyes to show that Sandworm murdered him, but I kind of think he should still be alive. For this reason I changed it a little.

I am not completely satisfied, but I think it’s kind of an adorable scene. What do you all think?
