Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Back To Top Form! Roar!

Time flies! Just completed the 169th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

Moving Back To Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I made the decision to move back to a Bronze level fray, which is where my cards are at. It proved to a good decision but I was back to winning form!

Had 7 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

We Got 7th!

So for the final result, we were 7th out of 10 guilds and got 592 Merits and around 14 SPS! A whole bag of SPS! A very poor finish but was let down my participation as well. Sometimes I wonder how many people are playing Splinterlands these days.

Individually, I had 7 fights this time and I won 6 of them this time! Finished 2nd within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there was 2 additional wins for me.

Battle 1 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Sola Ranjell

It was been a long while since Sola Ranjell featured in my brawl battle. Finally, she had an opportunity to display how strong she is, and she was a great support to Iziar, who was a rock solid tank.

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

A low mana and restrictive ruleset, Forgotten One was just too strong against the opposing Disintegrator and took the win in 2 rounds. Easy one and we were off to a good start this time!

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Relenor Cleaver and Isgald Vorst

As they say, two is better than one! I had two Gladius cards and my opponent had one and that was the difference. In the end, it was down to these 3 cards to fight it out and I won. The opposing Forgotten One gave me a little scare with that set of tanky stats but Relenor Cleaver was up to the challenge once Cruel Sethropod fell.

Battle 4 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Trapp Falloway

Life - checked. Fire - checked. Water - checked. And now I put up a Death lineup. My opponent had an extremely weak lineup and it was all over in one round.

MVP: None (almost like a free win)

Battle 5 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Sola Ranjell

Sola Ranjell got another chance here but my team just had no chance against the opposing Quora Towershead this time round. Argh. Tough loss to take.

MVP: None

Battle 6 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

How on earth did I win this? I was weakened by Headwinds and my damage output was massively reduced. Somehow, somehow, I had enough to score this win. A miracle indeed.

Opponent fled!

So that sums up my 7 battles for this brawl! 86% win rate this time round! Almost perfect!
