Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - We Got An Awesome 3rd Place!

Time flies! Just completed the 189th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

Moving Back To Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I made the decision to move back to a Bronze level fray, which is where my cards are at. It proved to a good decision but I was back to winning form!

Had 4 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

We Got 3rd!!!

So for the final result, we were 3rd out of 10 guilds and got 431 Merits and around 20 SPS! A whole bag of SPS! What an awesome finish!

Individually, I had 4 fights this time and I won 3 of them this time! Finished 5th within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there were 5 additional wins for me.

Battle 1 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Larissa Kerato

My opponent made a bad mistake I think, by using a Taunt tank when Fury was in the ruleset. That absolutely turned the battle into my favour and Larissa Kerato took full advantage to accumulate all the Bloodlusts required to send my opponent packing. That's the power of Legendary Gladius cards.

Battle 2 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Flagulon Reine

There was no way I was going to win that dreaded Quora Towershead in this Poison battle. I did my best and it just wasn't enough.

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Witch Of Warwick

Was my opponent lacking depth in the card collection? It's puzzling to face one card in a 56 mana battle. Anyway, will take this easy win any day!

MVP: None (almost like a free win)

Battle 4 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Relenor Cleaver

The entire team did so well in this one. Every card displayed their abilities to the maximum, be it Thorns, Opportunity, Repair, Reach etc. Kulu Mastermind stood out as the most outstanding card because it took away the opponent's Gladius card very early in the game. That made the battle much easier for the team and it was a comfortable win in the end.

So that sums up my 4 battles for this brawl! 75% win rate this time round, 100% if we exclude the one with Quora Towershead.
