Splinterlands:
Splinterlands is a play2earn game hosted on the Hive Blockchain. NFT's that have real monetary value are used to earn rewards in a robust gaming economy that also have real monetary value. Such assets are tradable on-site or on many different secondary markets such as TribalDex and Hive-Engine. Don't have a Splinterlands account yet. Well you are in luck because I just so happen to have an ambassador code. Clicking it will start the sign up process. What is an ambassadors code? Its a code that will give me credit for your sign up at no cost to you. Here it is: https://splinterlands.com/register?ref=rentmoney Don't want to use my ambassador code (no worries) here is a direct link: https://splinterlands.com.
Dark Energy Crystals:
DEC for short (Dark Energy Crystals) is an in-game currency that is used to trade for Splinterland assets. The token is tradable in markets that may not be limited to TribalDex, Hive-Engine and LeoDex. The Splinterlands team accepts DEC at the value of $1/1000 DEC. Recently it is possible to trade for DEC at a rate below $1/1000 DEC on the mentioned marketplaces. This is good news for players who want to purchase Splinterlands assets as it provides them with savings. For those interested listed below will be links to three different markets that allow DEC trades on them.
DEC | Trade | Information |
---|---|---|
24HR | Volume | $4671* |
Price | Last Sold | $0.0006939 |
Price | Ask | $0.0006995 |
Price | BID | $0.0006940 |
Hive 24H: 15801* | Ask: 0.00226479 | Bid: 0.00224672 |
DEC (Dark Energy Crystals) is of upmost importance to the Splinterlands ecosystem and is also important to the players who like to interact with the Splinterlands game. DEC can be attained many ways. To name a few: (A) Burning a card for its DEC value. Generally the older the set of cards the more DEC value that is attached to said card. Ex. Alpha cards have higher burn rates than Beta Cards. Beta cards have higher burn rate than UNTAMED which have a higher burn rate than CHAOS Legion Cards do. So forth and on-wards. (B) Trading your cards in the Splinterlands marketplace will also yield you the DEC token. (C) Renting your cards in the SPL on-sight marketplace will also yield you some DEC. There are many reasons for holding DEC. Just as renting cards will yield DEC Splinterlands players can also use DEC to rent cards. When NFT sets (and other assets) are available for trade on the official SPL marketplace DEC is one of if not the main token that can be used to trade for such assets. As can be seen in our DEC value graphs above if you like to trade and or purchase Splinterland assets directly from the Splinterlands company; its possible to get more bang for your buck by visiting an off-site marketplace that has DEC listed for trade (LeoDex, Hive-Engine, TribalDex). It's not uncommon to find DEC trading at below the $1/1000 threshold that the Splinterlands company always accepts it at for its on-site sold assets (purchased directly from them). For example if we take the now asking price of DEC (0.00224672) and multiply that by 1000 DEC we get a total cost of 2.26479 Hive Tokens per 1000 DEC Tokens. Which is roughly $0.70 USD per 1000 DEC. That's a 30 cent savings if one was to purchase DEC at Hive-Engine and use it for purchasing assets sold directly by the Splinterlands company within the onsite Shop.

I'm always raising DEC to use in Splinterlands. Most of my Hive posting rewards go to DEC then into the game. Its a token with a real use ... for me at least.
When DEC is below $1/1000 on the markets its more bang for your buck.
