Recently I have been peeking at the official Splinterlands Hive Blockchain account (@splinterlands) and taking notice of one of their weekly challenges named: Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge. Usually when I create my Splinterlands content for the week I create general content that comes to mind just before I start my post. This post is not that. Instead for this post I'm going to share a Furious Chicken story with you that I already created and shared in a previous post some many moons ago. What prompted me to make such a decision? Two things to be exact: (1) I got the thought some days ago to review some of my older posts to see how my posting skills progressed (2) this weeks Engagement Challenge asks to expand on the lore of Splinterland characters. When doing (1) I came across a post I created about the Furious Chicken that had a brief expand of the Furious Chickens Lore (Fan Made Of Course). I almost forgot I created the story and it gave me a little chuckle when reading so I thought to my self (self) why not re-share the story for nostalgia purposes so that is what I am doing. FURIOUS CHICKEN Training For Battle
When originally sharing this expanded story of the Furious Chickens Lore the Splinterlands team challenged Splinterland players to showcase the ability of the Furious Chicken in battle. I'm not one from backing down from challenges so off I went to train my chicken for battle. I knew it wasn't going to be an easy task but I gave it my all. I trained my chicken day and night. No breaks, no rest and no mercy. By the time I was done my chicken would be Fast and FURIOUS and ready for battle. Some actual footage of our training can be seen below.
Finally after weeks of training my chicken and I were ready so we headed out to the battlefield. On the way to the battlefield of Splinterlands we knew this was it the moment was finally here. It was our time to shine .......

How could this be my chicken trained so hard. Demoralized and defeated we weren't ready to give up yet. We healed our wounds from battle and went back to training. This time we decided to try our hand at some back alley fights before going back to the pro leagues of Splinterlands.
We took some bumps and bruises from some guy named Peter but in the end we were undefeated in back alley brawls. With a new found boost of confidence we decided it was time to hit the big leagues. ... Back to SPLINTERLANDS we went and this time we brought back up.
The Furious Chicken stayed nestled behind one of his comrades providing emotional and motivational support while positioning itself as protection for his good friend and comrade the KOBOLD MINER and those lined up behind. This victory came at great cost as our team had to destroy a fellow chicken in the process but there was no other choice it was kill or be killed out there.
And that's the story I created sometime ago. How long ago, Nov 10, 2019 to be exact. I must say I'm happy to see that my posting skills have improved since then. Whenever there are interesting things like this in the game, people become more interested and start playing it daily.
I remember when the Furious Chicken was released and it was the first zero mana card. I thought a zero mana monster was so cool and it became probably my most used monster in battle. Fast forward to today and the typical battle is much higher in mana than 2019. So I find myself using zero mana monsters less and less.
Interesting take on the lore. I remember that chicken scene from Rocky.
