Splinterlands:

--->How To Level Cards

The Splinterlands team is at it again. The recent weekly initiative run by the Splinterlands Team is requesting that those familiar with the process of combining the games cards (NFTs) make a guide on how to do just that. The process is not that complicated at all and can be shown relatively quickly. Below I will quickly display the steps with no muss or fuss or long drawn out post. Just straight forward navigation points displayed in text.

  • Sign In To Splinterlands
  • Navigate To and Hover over the "Items" icon (top of page)
  • Select Cards out of the drop down menu
  • Choose a card from your collection to combine
  • Notice the cards stats
  • Stats will tell you how many combined cards are needed for each level
  • Select the number of cards for your desired level
  • Click the combine icon (Looks like +)
  • Boom, you have now combined your cards

It's important to note that the combine amount for each NFT set within the Splinterlands game is different for each set. Meaning, Alpha has a different combine rate to reach certain card levels than the Beta edition does. A good general rule of thumb is the newer the set, the more cards that are needed to combine. The older the set the less cards that are needed to combine to reach each desired level. To further explain: it would take just two Alpha common cards to create a level 2 Alpha card. If we want to level a common Beta card to level two it will take three Beta cards to do that. So make sure you check the stats of your card before leveling. Yes, combining cards is just that easy.

Important Note:
You CAN NOT combine cards of different sets with each other. You CAN NOT combine cards of the same set but different variety with each other. YOU CAN only combine cards that are identical and from the same set.

What Is Splinterlands?

Splinterlands or commonly abbreviated to SPL is a play2earn game on the Hive Blockchain that utilizes NFT's for their robust gaming economy. These playable NFT's have real monetary value. The game has its own on-site marketplace and card (NFT) rental market and many more features on top of that. Sounds interesting? Why not give it a shot and sign up today through my ambassadors link (Gives me credit for your sign up at no cost to you): https://splinterlands.com/register?ref=rentmoney

Select Cards : Combine Cards are done on the same page. Combine cards feature will be unusable if no selection is made. This means you have to select the number of cards before utilizing the combine feature.

I usually just combine all my cards I get right away but sometimes its smart to be more tactical. Some of the old cards don't have many on the market so its worth looking at what levels there are to combine. Like sometimes you are 1 BCX short of maxing out and all the cards on the market have already been levelled up to 5+ BCX.

btw You can still over shoot the max but now there is a warning.

All very good points. It's always best to check the market before combining if one doesn't have the correct amount of cards owned already. Even if one does have the correct amount owned its still a good idea to check. There might be some deals on already leveled cards. Thanks for pointing out that there is a warning message. Very useful for those worried about over-combining.

I always get confused about how Splinterlands card levelling works for combining more than maxed. I feel like they have changed that many times and I just haven't bothered to keep track at how it works.

I remember seeing a lot of Alpha common cards that had over 400 BCX combined, when max only takes 379 BCX

I thought they stopped the over-combining from being possible. But I do remember back in the Alpha/Beta days seeing some that were over-combined. It was a hot topic for a minute.
