I'm confused which one to upgrade :)
For now, it's more important to upgrade my other summoners.
Bortus is enough for me at level 1 when the opposing player prefers magic attackers.

Lol my summoners are on level 4 except the Dragon summoners, am luck I did that when they were cheaper, I wish I continued to level 5

Me too still lots of building to do and am estimating $60 on each Splinter to level 5 excluding Dragon Splinter

If you have the funds go for gold otherwise the regular ones are okay then you can always boost your CP and strength of deck with gold monsters you need.
I think for me I will upgrade regular ones while I pick up gold Legendary monsters
