Hi splinternerds,
This year I have been able to set my goals for spl and well it’s been going good. I am winning games that I am supposed to win to be able to make it into champion for the first time in my spl career. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve not made it into champion yet as I’ve not been able to make it past diamond II yet but I can confidently say that this year I’ve been much much better than last year.
I didn’t take a long time to get out of gold like I used to last year. I think it took me less than 3 days to move from gold II to diamond III and I didn’t need to play a lot of games. This year I want to earn more on spl but then I want to also reduce the amount of time I spend in playing the game as well.
Last year I would normally spend glint in acquiring smaller chest so I could get more energy. This year I am moving away from that as I aim not to play a lot of games but also to be efficient as well.
I’d need to concentrate on a whole lot of stuff outside of playing games for now.
So today I had a pretty interesting game which I wanna talk about. This game was one that intrigued me at first cause I knew I’d win but I didn’t know if it’ll be an easy much. I won’t lie, I was literally smiling while watching the replay of this battle so I decided to talk about it.
The Rulesets were keep your distance( no melee cards), high five(can summon up to 5 cards) and unprotected( monsters have not shield)
With this type of Rulesets it’ll be useless going in for a void magic card or summoner as your cards won’t get shield buffs from anywhere. The mana for this game was 22 as well. With a mana this small I am mostly left wondering what line up to go in for.
This time round I went for quix the devious and then I chose the life element. Specifically because of pelacor the conjurer. This is a card with 2 mana, 8 health and no attack. I like it cause it has the magic reflect and divine shield ability. Next was the chaos dragon with 4 magic, 3 speed and 10 health. With the blast ability it’s always a good thing to choose it.
Then finally I went in for naga assassin to boosts the speed of my card by 1 as well.
The match started pretty well with my cards starting the attack. Round one was a normal round for both teams but I was able to kill his first card with the blast ability. Next the blast took out one of his cards again and then chaos dragon killed one card in addition.
By the start of round 4 it was clear that I was winning this easily. He managed to kill my first card as well in this round. In round 5 my cards stopped playing around and did the last killings and we won comfortably.
For me chaos dragon made a huge difference in this game as the blast helped out a lot.
