It's time to create a directory of all relevant articles about the progress of my Splinterlands account and the current status of my SPS stakes. I see this as an important discipline to monitor my progress. I have been thinking about this for quite some time. As for the progress report, I observe that I already did it on November 29 last year. So I will just add two entries in this article to have the most recent update.
Splinterlands Directory
In making this directory, my goal is for this article to serve as my reference for the future. You know it is not easy to retrieve all the posts for over the past three years. It is better to have one page where you can go and in just one click you will be directed to the article you are looking for.
However, as I retrieve my past articles, I am reminded of the mistake I made in the past. The first four articles I wrote were published under a different Hive name, and I could not remember how I lost my keys to that account. At that time, I didn't know that a gamer's Splinterlands' account is a Hive account. So perhaps unconsciously I created that account, and I failed to keep the keys.
Splinterlands: My First Win Using Sand Worm and it got $0.06 payout. I wrote this on August 14, 2021.My first user name on Hive was @rzc24-bbsmdapp and I published my first four articles under that name. My first article was
In that first article, I was advised by lovesniper to write an introduction post. Two weeks later, I published a half-baked article introducing myself to the Hive community. My little effort was awarded with a $0.04 payout.
It is not until August 31 of the same year when I wrote My Accomplishments After a Month that I received a $17.03 incentive.
Defeating Stormbringer’s Magic Team is the last article I published in the above account. Since then, I lost that account, and all those HIVE rewards were stranded under that name.
Under my current account, the first significant article I published is a report of my status after playing Splinterlands for three seasons. This post earned 11.283 HIVE. Date published: September 30, 2021.
On November 28 of the same year, I shared that my family—four of us—were all playing Splinterlands. I highlighted the long-term potential of the game and the importance of understanding its mechanics and economy for potential investment. Source.
On December 22, 2021, I reflected on my 8th season playing Splinterlands. I mentioned my experience opening Chaos Legion packs and receiving EOS rewards. This particular post earned 31.44 HIVE. Source.
On the first day of 2022, I discussed the various utilities of SPS. Revisiting this article gave me a historical perspective to compare the current status of the game with its past.
Compare the two images below and tell me what do you see.
Yes, the price gap is obvious. On January 1, 2022, a 1,049 SPS is worth $255.18 compared to the 12,270.918 SPS, which is now worth $86.17. Do the math, and you will see how deep the price of the token has fallen.
If you will focus on the negative and you are only after a quick gain, you will be disappointed, and surely you have already abandoned the game months ago. However, if you believe in the long-term prospect of the game, you will see a very promising opportunity, and you will consider that now is the time to grow your stakes.
As for SPS utility, it is good to be reminded of the following:
the formation of a foundation treasury
the production of Riftwatchers
the inclusion of SPS in the reward pool
the validator node software
land expansion, and
end of private sale and airdrop
I think two out of six are already done, and the other four are now being implemented.
Let us now shift to the succeeding months. I observe that my articles in the following months are focused on stories of specific monsters, season updates, and a few notable battle stories.

The above directory contains 36 articles and they earned a total 576.33.01 HIVE, which 288.36 of that was added to my wallet.
I observed that beginning May 2023, my creation of Splinterlands content almost stopped. Such a stop had slowed down the growth of my account. I think there are a several reasons for this. One of them is my entry to Listnerds. Another is the exclusivist mindset of Splinterlands curators. And perhaps the third reason is that I shifted my focus more on the micro-finance aspect of Hive.
Reviewing the articles I published for more or less two years, I am amazed that I already covered the stories of numerous monsters considered powerful in the battlefield. Moreover, realizing that I stopped the season report last December 30, 2024, if I will add the total number of seasons covered in 2023 to 2024 until now, the current season will be my 85th.
SPS
Let me now turn to the monetary aspect of my micro investment on Splinterlands. Starting August last year, I decided to maintain a 12,000 staked SPS. I sell any additional 1,000 above that regardless of the price. However, when I read the Arcade Colony whitepaper talking about COLONY airdrop, I had a second thought. I decided to stake 5,000 SPS to my family's accounts.
The table below describes the rewards I receive, the amount of SPS I sold, and my outstanding SPS balance.

However, instead of selling that 1,000 SPS I unstaked last February 7, I decided to send it to @kopiko-blanca's account to add to his stakes. So instead of 5,000 SPS, I only sold 4,000 so far since August last year. If not, my stakes would be close to 18,000 by now.
What did I do to the HIVE that I received from selling SPS? I either use them to level up my cards or buy other Hive Engine tokens. The next table tracks my ROI despite the current market price of SPS:

If I have extra cash, I would not sell SPS at this time. However, I think I already have enough micro-investment in Splinterlands both in time and money. It's time to shift my attention to other projects on Hive.
As you can see, the price of SPS bounced back to 0.0102 last November 28 and since then started to decline again. Now that the price is back to the 0.0062 area, I decided to trade the token on MEXC and send the profit to my Hive account.
Finally, my Splinterlands directory is done. I can just simply go to this page anytime I want to revisit my previous articles.
