Let's be real, there's no good, satisfying way to buy cards. So I've decided to leave it up to fate. I didn't want to break the bank buying cards and building a collection. So I decided to buy quest potions instead. So far I've used 3. And I think it's been very worth it.
Since I started playing about 14 days ago I've completed the quest daily. I've gotten in total just one card. This fella.
This one's (He's/She's? I dnno I don't want to put a label on it) great. I love watching monsters get one shot. But very situational. So much so that sometimes games are cost.
So that's 1 card in 10 chests. 73 cents at the time of writing this.
I wanted to buy something. I was hunger and I new only some chicken would sate me but it's far too expensive to be eating lately apparently.
So I decided to some digging for the most cost effective card to buy. It has to be useful, decent mana, decent power and, best case scenario, appreciate in value. Boy did I dig. Like a sand worm would.
This was all too much for me, of course, so I chose the easy way. I decided to drop $6 into credits and buy quest potions instead. It's been 3 days and this is what I have to show for it.
7 cards totalling $2.13 at this current time. That's by completing 3 quests with the bonus of 3 quest potions totalling $2.25. Not to mention a wee bit of DEC. Quite a decent haul.
Now there's an argument to be made that some of these could be from the single chest from the 3 quests but I'd like to think not. Or so I hope.
This isn't even to factor in card value growth (fingers crossed). And hoping that I get luckier with the next 3 potions. I think it's absolutely worth it. Especially since I didn't have to focus on what to buy. That makes it priceless.
Tl;dr. If you don't want to think about what cards to buy, quest potions are a fun roulette version that I think will still provide a bang for your buck.
Quest potions are definitely worthwhile, from everything that I've seen. Just wait until one of those pulls is a gold or a legendary, and that math looks way different.
The higher in brackets you go, the more rewards chests from each daily, so the potions add a lower % of increased chests, BUT your chests also offer better rewards the higher in the brackets you are...
From my own play, and chatting/observing a few other people, the Quest Potions seem to be one of the best investments in the game right now.
Just be sure to use credits, not DEC, until the price goes back to $0.001
Unfortunately I'm really stuck at the edge of bronze and silver and I really don't know why. Any suggestions on a way out?
