As you start playing there are still lots of things about it that you really haven't understood yet. As you progress, you slowly grasp how the game goes. Personally, after making it to Silver 1 that is where I learn where to position monsters effectively in battle. Even though I am winning and advanced to the upper league. There are still times I ask myself why my monsters don't attack and I don't know why. It is because it was in the wrong position and I really haven't noticed it.
Monsters' positioning is very crucial. It can make or break a game. It can save you in a very difficult situation. As we all know, there are 3 types of attack: melee, ranged, and magic.
Melee - Attacks from a close-up position.
Ranged - Attacks in a long-range position.
Magic - Attacks can be in a close or long-range position.
This is where you put your monsters for battle. After choosing a summoner. You will next choose a monster to be in the front row. Then, 2nd row and so on. Take note that melee monsters can only attack when in the front row. What will happen is melee monsters will have to wait until your 1st monster dies in order for it to attack when it moves up in the 1st row. On the other hand, ranged monsters won't attack at all when it is placed on the front row. Sounds unfair to melee monsters, right? This is where melee abilities come in.
3 Types of melee abilities
- Reach - Melee attack Monsters with the reach ability may attack from the second position on the team.
- Sneak - Targets the last Monster on the enemy Team instead of the first Monster.
- Opportunity - Monsters with the Opportunity ability may attack from any position and will target the enemy Monster with the lowest health.
With these abilities, it allows melee monsters to attack in any row they are at. Hope it gives you more edge in winning your battles.
Quick battle tips.
- Choose a monster that is durable (Healing, high HP, or with a shield) on the 1st row.
- Choose Melee with an ability.
- Never put a ranged monster up front it won't attack.
- Use a magic monster for direct damage.
- Defend your back for sneak attacks.
- Pay attention to the game modifications.
- Maximize your monster's lineup based on the mana cap.
That's all I can share. Hope it can help you improve your battle strategies.
Like always, enjoy the game while you earn.
