Hello, everyone on this noble platform and the Hive ecosystem at large. I am very excited to write and share this wonderful article with you all, and I hope that you guys will enjoy reading it as well. Today, I am writing this post as part of the Splinterladns Social Media Challenge, and it is an exciting one that I think you all will love.
In my previous Splinterlands Social Media post, I shared with you how I purchased my Spellbook and my card rental journey right after buying the spellbook. Today, I will share an amazing battle that I hope you guys will like. After playing several battles and advancing to the bronze league, I understand that it is not as easy as it was when I used to play on the wood stage where I was winning every battle that comes my way.
The battle was a 43 mana battle where I selected my team from the Earth Deck this time around and not from the Water Deck. All six elements were active in the battle and the ruleset was the Thorns effect where all monsters gain the thorn ability. Mycelic Slipspawn monster was my first positioned card and with its taunt ability, all my opponent's monsters attacked it first.
After the first round, I was able to eliminate my opponent's Cursed Windeku monster from the first position. I made sure I never added any melee attack monster to my team so that none of my attacks would get affected by the thorns effect.
In the second round, my Mycelic Slipspawn monster at the first position was eliminated while I also eliminated two of my opponent's monsters in that same round. It was here I got relieved that I was going to win that battle.
In the third and final round of the battle, I did not have to suffer anymore as my opponent had two monsters left, and out of the two, only one could attack and it was even a melee. When I am still having five monsters sitting in my team lineup.
With my magic attacks, I was able to eliminate the Dhampir Stalker monster and then its last monster missed the attack and finally got eliminated by my range monster. Link
