Hello! It's been a long time since I've been here. But I make my appearance again, now with more time to publish and of course, draw. I had made this illustration of The Herbalist a while ago, in the month of November approximately, but since I went on a trip to my parents' house and stayed there for a few months, I forgot to publish it, however, Better late than never!
I loved making this composition, I had imagined it walking through a forest in search of its rare plants, when... BOOM! One of the rarest ones was obtained that appears once every who knows how many times. The original idea was to make a kind of diary to complete the illustration but as I told you, I forgot it existed and I left it at that 😅. I still think it has a lot of personality and looks very cute. I hope you like it as much as I do.
Hola! Hacía muchísimo tiempo que no pasaba por aquí. Pero nuevamente hago mi aparición, ahora con más tiempo para publicar y por supuesto, dibujar. Ésta ilustración de la carta The Herbalist lo había hecho hace un tiempo atrás, en el mes de noviembre aproximadamente, pero como me fui de viaje a casa de mis padres y dure unos meses allá, se me olvidó publicarlo, sin embargo, ¡Mejor tarde que nunca!.
A mi me encantó hacer esta composición, me lo había imaginado caminando por un bosque en búsqueda de sus plantas raras, cuando... PUM! se consiguió una de las más raras que aparece una vez cada quién sabe cuanto. La idea original era hacer como una especie de diario para completar la ilustración pero como les dije, se me olvidó que existía y así lo dejé 😅. Igual pienso que tiene bastante personalidad y se ve muy lindo. Espero les guste tanto como a mi.

As you can see in the sketch, one of the things I changed was the flower and the background, I feel that nothing convinced me, if I did it in an open space it was very obvious and lost mystery, also at the time of outlining I improved the pose to give it greater bodily expressiveness of amazement and emotion. The flower well, I made it along the way, I changed it about 4 times hahaha, in the end I stayed with the one you see in the final result.
Como se puede observar en el boceto, una de las cosas que cambie fue la flor y el fondo, siento que nada me convencía, si lo hacía en un espacio abierto era my obvio y perdía misterio, también al momento del delineado mejoré la pose para darle una mayor expresividad corporal de asombro y emoción. La flor bueno, la hice en el camino, la cambie como unas 4 veces hahaha, al final me quedé con la que se ve en el resultado final.

In the use of color, what I wanted to give the most prominence to was, of course, the flower, so I left the background with a low tonal key and thus give the plant the sparkle it needed and reflect the main character. The fact that I changed the background from an outdoor location to one inside the forest helped me a lot to give it those tones of light that I needed, so every change was for the better. And well, I don't have much more to comment, again, I hope you like it!
En la utilización del color, lo que más quise darle protagonismo por supuesto era a la flor, así que dejé el fondo con una clave tonal baja y así darle el destello que necesitaba a la planta y que reflejara al personaje principal. El hecho de haber cambiado el fondo de un lugar al aire libre a uno dentro del bosque me ayudó bastante a darle esos tonos de luminosidad que necesitaba, así que todo cambio fue para mejor. Y bueno, no tengo mucho más que comentar, nuevamente, espero les guste!
