Hello there! @saydie here, manually playing Splinterlands everyday!
Every Tuesday, Splinterlands will undergone their weekly maintenance which usually aims to fix game bugs and implement quality of life (QOL) features. It is also during this time that they implement new updates to improve the gaming experience and on their most recent maintenance, one of the things that they implement is the revamped of the Training Grounds
or what is previously called as the Practice mode where we can test and improve our strategies by battling against automated accounts.
And so, for this week's Community Engagement Challenge, I will walk you trough on how to use the revamped Training Grounds
so that you can also improve your skills in the combat arena.
The last time that I used Practice Mode was when I was just starting to the game but during that time, I can only have matches against Novice accounts, meaning that the units that I can use were only at level 1 but with the Revamped After that, a Pop- up window for the This field allows a player to choose the difficulty of challenge and the system will match the player with an automated account based with the chosen difficulty between the three options which is easy, medium or hard. This field allows a player to choose which type of cards that they want to their account and the automated account will use in the battle. It even has the option for players to train using ghost cards in case they want to try using cards that they do not own. This field limits the level of playable cards similar to the old league tier system that was still in use on guild brawls and tournaments and was divided to 5 different categories. In this battle, I set the training parameters at Medium difficulty using Modern cards with the Summoner level being capped at Adept difficulty which limits the use of the cards to Silver level. Play Without the Fear of Losing Energy- Using Training grounds does not cost energy and because of that, the amount of match that a player can do is limitless. Ability to Use All Cards- Training Grounds includes the option to use Ghost cards so even if the player does not own a card, they can still use those cards in battles. Unlimited Experimentation- As it does not cost energy to play, the player is free to test different strategies in order to improve their strategies. The ability to set summoner cap is particularly helpful to train on different league caps which is still applied on Guild Brawls and Tournaments. The Thank you and see you on the next post!
