Hello there! @saydie here, manually playing Splinterlands everyday!
Every time more and more quality-of-life features was being added to Splinterlands and one of the most recent update that was introduced to the game was the introduction of Custom Set Rentals
. This was a huge improvement to the game, allowing card owners to rent their spare assets in a collection of sets so that curious players can rent them all without the hustle of renting the cards individually.
And so, for this week's Community Engagement Challenge, I will walk you trough on how to make a #SplinterlandsCustomSets .
Creating and Managing Custom Sets
Having the Custom Sets is another quality-of-life feature that is more focused for the asset owners as it can let them to rent their assets in sets, allowing them to save fees from renting cards individually. To start navigating the Custom Sets, on the Market Menu
, click on the Set Rentals
among the dropdown options. This will transfer you to the Set Rental Page.
On the Set Rental Page, click on the Create
if you want to create a custom rental set or Manage
if you want to edit an already made rental set.
Once that you are on the Set Creation Page, you can see 4 options with the 3 options dedicated for specific set but since what we want is to create a custom set, we need to select Custom
for us to be able to create a custom set.
After that, you will be transfer to another page where you will see your current card collection. You can either select the card that you want to use for rental individually or you can also use the Autofill
that will automatically select all the cards for you.
You can also click the Autofill Settings
to modify the Autofill's card parameter such as the level of the cards, or if you want to include gold foil cards. Just take note that cards that are on cool down will not be selected in the set as well as the soulbound cards.
After you finish creating your set rental, you can now proceed to name the rental that you created. This is so that we can avoid the confusion specially when creating multiple sets.
The set that you created will be transferred to the Manage Page
and to be able to finally add the set for rentals, you need to place a price on the set.
Now the set that you created are finally out for rent so that renters can now rent for the set. As you can see, the deck that I created has 97 card but only set for 10 DEC even though renting individual card will cost 1 DEC at minimum.
Benefits Of Custom Sets
◻️ Custom Sets are only Season Rentals
This means that the renter needs to pay the fee for the Custom set for the entire season and at the same time, neither the renter or owner will be able to cancel renting the cards.
◻️ Cheaper Rental Fee
Renting cards individually will deduct a processing fee to the asset owner but if they rent their cards as a custom set rather than individually, that will count as a single transaction, which means only a single fee.
◻️ Flexibility in Choosing Cards
Custom sets allows to choose from all the cards including Alpha, Beta, Untamed and Dice which are sets that are limited to Wild Format. This can be also helpful in creating specific deck for Guild Brawls and Tournaments.
Closing
And that was it for my post about the Custom Set Rentals. With this new feature, it allows more flexibility on the rental market while also helping other players to have an access on a set of cards without renting them individually, saving them the hustle of renting multiple cards.
Thank you and see you on the next post!
