Hello there! @saydie here, manually playing Splinterlands everyday!
In Splinterlands, it takes more than just playing strong cards to win the battle. Many of the times, it requires a combination of two or more cards that are maybe weak in their own but together with other cards, they could form a good synergy resulting a powerful battle advantage in battles.
And so, for my second entry in this week's Community Engagement ChallengePossibilus the Wise- Arkemis the Bear- Coastal Sentry combo., I want to share with you one of the another #SplinterSynergy among the Water element which is the
Possibilus the Wise- Arkemis the Bear- Coastal Sentry Combo

Possibilus the Wise was a Water summoner that gives 2 health along with the Reach and Trample ability which were abilities that were suited for melee cards and some cards that has a really good synergy to it was the Neutral card Arkemis the Bear which has the Protect ability to give ally units 2 armor while it's Forcefield gives it some protection against attacks with 5 and above damage by reducing it to 1, making it a decent tank. On the other hand, Coastal Sentry which has the Piercing and Double Strike ability was not a card that you can commonly used as a tank since it has far less health and abilities to reduce damage that are inflicted to it but it can now attack even when placed at the second position thanks to the abilities given by Possibilus the Wise. And the combination of this cards can easily melt the health of any opponent that comes across with it, specially when Arkemis the Bear comes into Enrage and increase its damage add to the fact how Trample can allow these cards to attack once again if they were able to successfully defeat their target.
It's even stronger with Wavebrood and Swamp Spitter
At the same time, this combo becomes more powerful when cards such as Wave Brood was put in the mix as it has the Taunt ability to divert the opponent attacks to this card, saving my frontal units from receiving damage so that they can keep on attacking the opponent while Swamp Spitter with its Repair allows it to restore the armor of any units that loses an armor.

This battle comes with 52 mana cap with Rise of The Commons and Stamped ruleset meaning, only Common and Rare units ca be used in battle while the Trample ability can be triggered multiple times if a monster was killed. This makes it a good modifier for both Arkemis the Bear and Coastal Sentry since both are Common units and while Possibilus the Wise was legendary summoner, the ruleset does not affect summoners so it can still be used and its trample ability just makes for a good ability to have for the battle's ruleset.
Like we can see on this battle, the reach ability that was given to all melee cards and that includes Coastal Sentry so even when it was placed on the second position, it can still attack the opponent and since it has Double Strike, it can also inflict twice the damage in just one turn. Meanwhile, Arkemis the Bear started the round already in the enraged state since it receives damage during the Ambush round but because of this, its damage has increased to 5.
And although they suffer armor damage as my opponents tank has Thorns, Swamp Spitter can help restore the armor that my units lost with its Repair ability.
Following that, Coastal Sentry defeats the opponent's tank and as a result it triggers the Trample ability which allows it to do another attack on the monster on the second position.
And when the opponent doesn't have enough armor to received the attack from Coastal Sentry, the rest of its attack will be inflicted directly to the target's health.
But the Trample also applies to any of my melee units so with that, Deeplurker goes in to a trample frenzy, attacking 3 units at the same time. Following that the opponent was defeated by ranged attack, ending the match in my victory.
Closing
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this article. I hope I was able to provide valuable information and impart some ideas that can help you in your future battles.
The synergy on Possibilus the Wise, Arkemis the Bear and Coastal Sentry can be a hit or miss defending on the available elements and ruleset as it was very susceptible to Thorns damage but when it hits is quite fun, specially if it can take down or damage multiple opponents in a single round.
Thank you and see you on the next post!
