welcome to another issue of my weekly challenge, this time it's about captain's ghost

before we talk about my battle, let us knows the star of this challenge first...

Captain's Ghost

he is a captain of a great pirate ship perished in a battle against old frank.

after he died, his burning desire for the treasure, ripped his soul from his body.

that's how this great captain was born...

Card details:

now we know who is he? let's talk about his card stats.

captain's ghost is a rare water splinters reward edition card with 7 mana.

by default this card has magic attack of 2, health of 7, it's speed is so slow at 1 but this would be great in a reverse speed match, it also has affliction ability which a good weapons for destroying annoying healers.

at lvl 4 it's magic attack increased to 3.

at lvl 5 a new ability called oppress is now available, monster with no attack is now in danger due to double damage against them.

at max, it has a magic attack of 4, health at 8, speed still slow at 2.

The Battle:

it's time for the main topic of this weekly challenge, "the battle"

here's the rules 48 mana limit, reverse speed, rise of commons and only water, life and dragon splinters is allowed.

in "reverse speed" the slowest monster attack first.

in "rise of commons", only common and rare monsters allowed.

now we know the ruleset let's proceed with the lineup for each player, my opponent have 2 gold cards, and 3 of our cards are the same with also in same position.

before we proceed to the main battle, let's talk about my lineup first.

My Team

summoners
i have alric stormbringer but i decide to used my delwyn because even it needs higher mana it works the same, it adds 1 magic damage, also it's in lvl 6 with it's lvl i can summon higher lvl version of my monsters
for my tank i choose sea monster it's healing ability will be helpful, also because it's lvl 1, it's slower speed will be in it's advantage too
at 2nd i choose prismatic energy, in case my tank got killed faster i have a backup protection, at lvl 6 it's health and ability will be in handy, also i'm expecting my opponent to used a magic monsters.
in a high mana reverse speed match, a low lvl sandworm is a must, becasue of it's high melee damage and slow speed + the sneak ability opponent backrow will be in danger
in 4th position, the star of this challenge the captain ghost, magic damage at 3 because of delwyn, in case my opponent used a healer like in this battle, this card is ready to do it's duty, also it's slow speed is a plus in a reverse speed rule
next sea genie, it's in lvl 1 so it's speed is very low, this card will be useful too in reverse speed rule, also with delwyn magic damage of this card will be increased at 3
for the last position i choose ice pixie, i want to maximize the magic boost of delwyn and this card is the only one left who had magic, also it's flying ability may help me in this battle, you'll see it later on if it helps

sadly my opponent used bortus so delwyn effect became useless.

in the end of round 1 both our sea monster received a lot of damage, my ice pixie survives his sandworm first attack thanks to it's flying ability, while my sandworm successfully damage his monster.

in round two both our sea monster and our last position monster killed in action, where now down to four monster each.

now both our sandworm is in first position, i've got the upperhand after last round as his monster suffer more damage than mine, my captain's ghost and sea genie didn't received any damage.

it's a win for me 👍

if you watch the video you see how my opponent miss, while mine successfully landed their attack, my selected lineup and positioning + luck works well in this match.

cantain's ghost is great addition for your water splinters team, especially in reverse speed match, before this weekly challenge about captain's ghost occur i already using it, in my match on this challenge it's affliction didn't help much because his sea monsters didn't survive but it's very useful to stop healers.
