They're trying. It's always too little, too late. The random rulesets don't seem to do anything good. And to bring back the free attempt at the same time just makes it more enticing for people to fire up new accounts. I have to admit I've seen a few of those accounts pop up and then disappear, though, so the team must be doing something about it. I personally gave up playing the game, though. It's just not worth it to me, even if the SPS rewards are better than in Splinterlands.
