Announcing the Hall of Legends Promo Event & A Brand New Voucher Shop!
In July, the community passed a proposal to hire Splinterlands to create five promo events for the SPS DAO. Now, we're excited to announce this new expansion to the Rebellion set and invite you to step into the Hall of Legends!
The Hall of Legends will go live Tuesday, September 3rd, with a countdown for the first two exclusive promo cards (one rare, one legendary), which will be available the following Tuesday, September 10th. Every two weeks, these cards will rotate out, and two weeks later, a new pair will rotate in (i.e., you'll have two weeks to purchase the first pair, two weeks to prepare for the next pair, two weeks to purchase those, etc.). Over the next five months, we'll release five pairs of rare and legendary cards, for a total of ten awesome promo cards that are sure to turn the tides in your favor in the arena!
You won't find these promo cards in packs, airdrops, or future sales. They'll only be sold in the Hall of Legends. And once they're gone, they're gone for good. After that, the only way to get them will be from other players—either by buying, renting, or borrowing—so don't miss your chance to own these legends of the Rebellion!
The Legends
The Hall of Legends promo cards feature prominent figures of the rebellion and the Chaos Empire's attempts to squash it. Now, you and your fellow battle mages can summon elemental manifestations of these legends to fight in the Arena Games and celebrate their deeds... or misdeeds, as the case may be.
Without first ado, I present to you the first two cards to make an appearance in the Hall of Legends: Elanor Bravefoot and the Sanctus Vicar!
Elanor Bravefoot
While most of Fireboro’s halfling refugees gave in to despair, Elanor Bravefoot refused to surrender. Instead, she delved into ancient tomes and learned to channel the power of the brood fiends—chaotic embodiments of the elements created by the dark god Uul.
When Fireboro’s rebellion ignited, Elanor’s mastery of this dark power became a decisive force, leading to the city’s liberation and her emergence as a hero of her people.
Sanctus Vicar
Sanctus Vicar Logan Rockford, high priest of the Church of Gryyja, Goddess of Protection, joined the people of Feranon when they rose against the Chaos Empire. Without him, the uprising would have failed before it began.
He worked tirelessly to cleanse the rebels of the afflictions cast upon them by the legion’s mages and unholy priests. It is he who kept them fighting, defending his allies while simultaneously slinging great gouts of fire at the surrounding legionnaires.
Two new cards, two new abilities. And, oh, these abilities are intense. Check 'em out.
Blasphemy of Uul
Permanently gain +1 ranged power for each allied 0 mana card from the Chaos Legion set.
Combine this little halfling with a dual-element summoner and a pair of Chaos Legion fiends, and watch out! 4 ranged damage, and it won't cost you a single point of mana.
Cleanse Rearguard
Cleanses the last allied backline unit with a magic debuff.
You read that correctly. Players have been asking for it for years, and at last, here it is. Your backline cleanse has entered the game.
Pricing
Both rare and legendary cards will be sold as single (1 BCX) cards and can only be purchased with Dark Energy Crystals (DEC).
The first rare card, Sanctus Vicar, will cost 3,000 DEC for a single BCX, and the first legendary card, Elanor Bravefoot, will cost 50,000 DEC for a single BCX. The price of subsequent cards will be announced at least one week before their sale.
Every card purchased will have a 4% chance of being a Gold Foil, and you'll be guaranteed to receive at least one Gold Foil for every 25 cards purchased in a single transaction.
All proceeds from this promo event will go to you, the players, deposited into the @sps.dao wallet.
Leaderboard
The Hall of Legends will feature a leaderboard that will span all five events. When the dust settles, the top 500 players will receive titles to show off their achievement in-game. Will you be one of them?
- 1st - 25th place: "The Myth Hunter" legendary title
- 26th - 150th place: "The Fable Scout" epic title
- 151st - 500th place: "The Saga Seeker" rare title
And we're just getting started! Stay tuned for details on the rest of the promo cards in the weeks and months to come as we unveil an awesome array of new abilities, new dual-element combinations, and new characters that will redefine the lore of Splinterlands and your strategy in the arena!
Voucher Shop
In the meantime, don’t forget that on Tuesday, September 3rd, you'll no longer receive Voucher-based discounts on Rebellion booster packs, and energy will no longer be purchasable with Vouchers. See this post for all the juicy details.
So what will you do with all those sweet, sweet Vouchers? It just so happens that, also on Tuesday, September 3rd, Lyra & Lorn's is opening its doors! You'll find it under EXCLUSIVE in the SHOP tab. Here, you'll be able to spend your Vouchers on another awesome card for your collection!
Mana Warden
Fallin Enderbeard, a hill dwarf from a small hamlet in the Kingdom of Lyveria, is both a renowned priest and a formidable warrior. When Wilhelmdale rose against the Chaos Empire, he led his clansfolk to the city’s defense. He conjured protective barriers of fire and life to shield the rebels from the legion’s magical attacks and artillery. With his warhammer in hand, Fallin fought through the enemy’s ranks, ultimately striking down their commander, a decisive blow that led to the legion’s defeat.
A third new ability? Things are about to get crazy up in here.
Shield Ward
At the start of battle, the unit in front of this unit gains Shield.
Pair it with flank units, any unit you want to double as a tank, or backline units you want to protect; Shield Ward will open a whole new strategy of gameplay.
You'll need Vouchers to get the Mana Warden, so don't miss out! It costs 30 Vouchers for a single BCX, every card purchased has a 4% chance of being Gold Foil, and you'll be guaranteed to receive a Gold Foil card for every 25 cards purchased in a single transaction.

Can we get some promos with promotional pricing please?
I'm at a loss for words...
I guess I'll just say that I think the DAO should decide how to price these cards since we commissioned them.
Exactly! I thought since the DAO commissioned them this time around, we would see some more "player friendly" pricing. Nope...
Exactly! Well put, Costanza. If the game is going to attract players, they need to feel comfortable that the cards they purchase will retain some value and not have their price drop like a stone.
Well, that's how I see things.
100% on this, the moment it became too complicated and too much for me was the introduction of the Corrosive Fog Game rule & the Corrosive Ward ability. I didn't even bother to read the newly introduced abilities but doing so now really made me go whatt ???
"Permanently gain +1 ranged power for each allied 0 mana card from the Chaos Legion set"
This literally is trying to fix the economy (chaos legion 0-mana cards) by making the game more complicated sacrificing gameplay and fun while printing more assets.
Yeah, I have totally stopped paying attention to the new abilities. I hate the corrosive fog ruleset. It seems like every new card has its own new ability now and almost none of them are intuitive or simple. They all take 20 words of more to explain them and even then I'm left scratching my head. Rebellion is trash. When they got to cards removing abilities from other cards I just turned off completely. Actually stealing abilities has made it so nothing matters in the game at all anymore. I'm just thankful that I still almost never run into many rebellion cards.
those prices are insane - at current market prices for vouchers - that voucher common card is $.57/bcx. 550,000 dec is currently valued at $385 for the maxed legendary, and 345,000 dec for the rare is $241.50.
I think from now on you should have all this data before the actual proposal goes to a vote... I doubt it would have gotten as much support as it did. Then again the cabal would just push it through ;)
Man, these prices are just depressing. I'll go play some Modern ladder to cheer myself up...
I lost interest a long time ago. too many new abilities. bring back the classic mode so i can play again.
I love those new cards, so amazing artwork.
About $650 to get maxed versions of both is insanely expensive and UNAFFORDABLE!
true. worth it in any way?
Well, I want all the cards, so yeah, I want them, but there is no way I would buy them other than at a chunky discount on the marketplace.
Well... I know what I am doing with my Birthday money lol...
A bit pricey but I'll figure out how to get some of them at least :P
I really like the cards. Unfortunately, prices are way too high for current situation we're in.
I know we appreciate scarcity, but I'd also love to see something people find affordable and what it would do to sales figures.
👍
I'm curious to know what is going to be the price for the Voucher-promo card! :)
Is it just me, or is the voucher price of the Mana Warden missing?
Well, good luck. The cards seem pretty cool. I can't really afford to take part in any of this anymore, though.
This is both good and bad news.
Splinterlands adds new cards and abilities (especially CLEANSE REARGUARDS which might change the game).
On the other hand, the price per BCX seems to be more expensive than the previous promo cards. Hopefully, the Whales will spend their money to keep the game running. 🥲
it's a promo for the whales. that's why they're so pricey. it isn't to draw in new players who aren't whales.
Oh, that makes sense. I can't figure out how the new cards will attract new players. 😅
Too expensive.
The new abilities were great and could shift the meta but was not sure if I could support the company by buying this promo cards as I was still working on my missing CL soulbound rewards.
Does Olivia/Mimic get these new abilities? 😂😉
I love the new cards but they are too expensive for me. Its imposible to maintain a diamond deck like this.
I hope the dao gets some returns on this but it doenst look good.
Right now 853 USD for 3 Max Level Cards....
How long Mana Warden will be available for sale?
I'd also like to know this
Fantastic, I love how these are priced to prevent them being bought and sold en masse. Promo cards should be rare and sought after IMO.
Those cards are expensive but very good addition to our deck.
wow these prices are high have to think about it for sure
so Disappointed price need to be at least half of these prices I love modern but could not afford it at these prices I want to support game but need realistic prices we need packs at $2 or less make it assessable to normal players
How do the different stages of the leaderboard work?
