Glint Shop Update: Loot Chests
Many players missed the experience of opening loot chests and the excitement that came with it. You might've gotten potions, merits, and cards... and you might also have revealed a legendary gold foil or two, causing your kids, significant other, roommate, or neighbors to come running to find out what all the fuss was about when you started whooping and hollering.
We heard you. And we listened.
In the update on May 14th, 2024, we'll replace random draws with three levels of random loot chests in the Glint Shop: Minor, Major, and Ultimate.
The following table shows the chances of receiving each type of reward from each level of chest, the cost in Glint, and the max quantity per season before the price increases by 50%:

Reward Cards
For chests that contain reward cards, the chances of receiving a card of each rarity and foil are listed below. Using a Legendary potion will double the chances of receiving both an Epic and Legendary card and an Alchemy potion will double the chances of receiving a Gold Foil card.

Potions
For chests that contain potions, there's a 50/50 chance they'll be Legendary or Alchemy, with the number of potions in each type of chest shown below:

Merits

Energy

Rather than lose excess Energy awarded from chests, it's now possible to temporarily exceed the Energy cap. For example, if you have 50 Energy and you get an additional 3 Energy in a chest, your available Energy will be 53. However, your energy will not regenerate over time until you have less than 50.
Jackpot Prize
If a chest contains a jackpot prize, you'll randomly receive an item from the available prizes. The initial prizes are listed below, with more planned in the future.
Note that titles are rewarded from the supply found in the Glint Shop; if they sell out, they will no longer be available as Jackpot Prizes.

I bought 100 of the Ultimate chests thinking the percentages were cumulative but no, I didn't get any jackpots. Only 2 copies of a legendary that I already had maxed out. Worse is that the energy I got went over 50 and stops regeneration. It should still regenerate so it doesn't punish players for buying these.
In this post it's noted that that the price for prize chests will go up 50% after 1000 minor chests, 500 major chests or 100 ultimate chests.
These are the same numbers that were noted when I first read about these chests coming out in the town hall summary.
I was able to purchase 10 ultimate chests and the price has already jumped 50%
The Glint shop is currently glitching out on this laptop, but you can see here that all of the batch sizes are just 10% of what was advertised in these peakd posts.
Is the typo for batch sizes in the peakd posts or in the Glint shop coding?
PLOT TOKEN? That's awesome! Getting my first plot this way would be nuts!!
Can still remember the feeling when the chest starts to rattle and you cover the screen for more surprise, whether it's a regular or gold legendary.
