First time when I heard about a Splinterlands Tower Defense Game and instant smile on my face reminding of those addictive sessions with towers :) Looking forward for it!
At first yes (the upgrade that is coming later this month), you will be winning sps regardless if you have any staked or not, but at some later upgrade (probably Q4 this year or even later) this will change, but afaik the details are still to be determined.

seriously, can we get one of those 10 hr loop thingy videos with just the intro tunes from town hall? Love listening to that and actually annoyed sometimes when town hall actually starts xD
Also, implement more of that awesome sound in-game? Atmosphere really helps with immersion for some people and I'm one of them!
Love to here about open tournaments. I would love to see a pokerstars style tournament system which i think would work very well.
With this new format you could have sit and go style tournaments as soon as they were filled out.
They could happen at all price points from 1 SPS to 10,000 SPS. Split the entry fee among the top finishers and give a whole new use case to the token.
I hate these 24 hour rounds over two day. A tournament should start at a certain time and finish after everybody is knocked out.
Take 10% rake and use it to fund freerolls or just burn it form supply.
I often burn out my ECR or get bored of the grind whereas this would bring an element of competition into the game that you could play at any time and win some proper funds.
People spend hours playing these small tournaments every day online and can make a living out of it.
Imagine the same from splinterlands where luck isn't the deciding factor like in poker since we are all dealt the same cards.
Instead it would come down to each players strategy inside a given ruleset and mana.
Super pumped so many cool things happening and still to come! The game and quality team that keeps giving 😍

Love the the open tournament idea! This was definitely needed to boost Splinterlands' pro gaming appeal 👍
Love those equal cards but its anti whale we will know who are the real good players. hehe!
If only owns the cards and no Sps staking, whether we can get the Sps reward from winning the battles?
