Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my post for this weeks Share your Battle Challenge. This week we are once again picking a card from the "Dragon" splinter. I've elected "Black Dragon" for my challenge this week. Take a look at the stats:
If you didn't notice the level up process for this card doesn't change much in the statistics from level 1 - level 4. However, this card gains a new special ability with every level. I'm only working with a level 1 so we'll be equipped with the "Flying" and "Life leech" abilities. Let's take a look at my chosen Battle and Lineup for this week.
Ruleset: Fog of War
Mana-Cap: 20
Splinters: Water VS Dragon/Earth
My chosen Battle this week is a great display of how this card's abilities can effect the Battle in many ways. Check out my link at the end of the post to see. And before we discuss the strategy, let's look at the selected Lineup.
My Summoner
Quix The Devious
Additional Attributes:
-1 Enemy Speed
-1 Enemy Ranged Attacks
My Team
Xenith Monk
Goblin Psychic
Black Dragon
Fungus Fiend
As I mentioned earlier the abilities this card has can greatly affect the battle. The Ruleset for, for example, is fog of War. This rule set means no card can use the "sneak" ability. However, you're still able to use the "opportunity" ability. The "sneak" ability allows you to attack the last card in the Lineup. But "opportunity" allows you to attack the enemy with the lowest HP. The black dragon only starts with 3 HP. However, with the "life leech" ability he will grow HP with every successful attack. And since he attacks with a magic attack, he will always hit his target. The enemy has a strong opportunity using attacker. This could have easily taken out the black dragon. However because I used the fungus fiend, it was the first card to be attacked since it has a very low HP. Before the enemy opportunist could attack the black dragon, he grew stronger. This prompted the enemy opportunist to attack the psychic goblin. All the while the Xenith Monk, who was our tank, has the "Heal" ability and was also healed by the Psychic Goblin. So the next Ally to be attacked by the opportunist enemy was the psychic goblin. By the time the enemy opportunist defeated the goblin, the black dragon once again grew stronger and avoided his attack. By the time the black dragon was in the first position, he had far too much HP for the weakening enemy team to handle. If it were not for the life leech ability and the black dragon gaining HP, he would have been an easy target for the enemy opportunist. If you pay close attention you'll see the victory on my team's part was contributed by many factors. Visit my link below to watch the battle unfold. Thank you for taking the time to read my post all support, tips and follows will be returned.
Special thanks to @puckettzxtxf2 for selecting the enemy team.
