Growing The Lands Of Splinterlands

There's magic in them there hills!

That was my thought when I saved up and bought my own tract of land nearly three years ago. While land hasn't produced that much value mainly because I missed that bull run cycle kicking myself a bit for it lol. It doesn't mean that these lands don't have anymore magic.

In fact land is only going to heat up in a big way in 2025 and we are finally going to start seeing a lot of it in action that should really start building value and increasing the activity, fees etc happening within the game to really start to fuel the ecosystem.

Now it wont happen over night but I for sure want to get my 142 plots of land up and running to as max capacity as possible and that's not small task trust me.

One of those core components to land are totems which I think people really underrate. A totem costs you nothing to put on the land and generates a permanent boost.

Now I believe the stats above are from before fragments kicking in but I'm not 100% sure on that. Let's say they are that's till a solid amount to totems to go around but you'll see each provides a boost to the ENTIRE plot of land.

Now you might think 10% isn't a big deal but let's take for example this plot of mine I just recently opened up.

Currently this plot of land generates 266.2 grain per hour (which will change come land 1.75 due to it being Tundra so it will produce wood) 10% of that from a single totem if I put it on this plot of land would instead generate 10% more or an extra 26.62 grain per hour.

That means an extra 638.88 grain per day...
or 19,432.60 grain per month
or 233,191.20 more grain per year to feed my workers.

That's actually a rather drastic amount over time that can feed workers, be crafted into higher end foods (coming later) or even put into trade and earn some extra DEC or fees on the pairing.

That's actually huge and it's all because of the worst totem in the game.

Now the cool thing about land right now is you have a small chance of picking up totem fragments from your lands and then being able to convert those fragments into totems to use on lands.

You can see here I recently just did that and picked up two common totems of 10% each and a rare at 25% boost!

I really feel like these totems are going to be a must have on land plots to really make them profitable and really compete. I mean imagine not even having a common totem on your land you're falling 10% behind hourly compared to someone that does have one. My goal of course would be to house a totem on ever plot of land even if it's just a common and we are slowly but surely building up to that along with all of the other massive benefits of building out the lands.

I have a total of 142 plots I need to get up and running. Of which currently just 31 of them are online lol. I got my work cut out for me that's for sure! We have been making moves though in particular the last month where I've brought about 8 new plots online or two a week. It might not seem like a lot but mainly I want the plots at least cleared so they can be operational. My core focus is on the keep that I own with the 100 plots around as the first focal area.

If you don't own a plot now is a great time to pick one or more up for what I feel are rather cheap prices. I might even hold off on building up some lands at first just so I can buy more lands!
