A Splinterlands Thanksgiving
In response to @thepeoplesguild #TPGChallenge (see post here), I thought about what Thanksgiving is usually like for me? Then, I thought about how it would be like in Praetoria?
What's Thanksgiving like for me? 🤔
Thanksgiving for me usually involves family and friends getting together for a big meal. Often times in my experience, it brings together family members and old friends that haven't even seen in each other for a while, maybe for the entire year--maybe even longer. In that way, it can make for some "interesting" meals.
What's Thanksgiving like in Praetoria? 🤔
To me, thinking about Praetoria, the REBELLION SUMMONERS are kind of like their own special "family" in a way. The LEGENDARY Rebellion summoners especially. They were the first summoner class to ever have tactics. They're the most sought after summoners in the game right now. They're the summoners holding the highest prices. They're also the soon-to-be veterans of modern (once Chaos Legion summoners rotate out).
If they're not a "family" then they're at least like a group of classmates that graduated the same year in school or something. Not necessarily friends (far from it, probably!) but there's a common bond between them, forged by mutual standing and experience. By the simple fact of who they are. The bond they have can be strained, but can never truly be broken. Kind of like a family!
Thanksgiving Dinner at Tofu's
These days, ETERNAL TOFU has become the king of the Rebellion summoners 👑 You can argue that Cryptic and Lorkus are also awesome (and that's true) but to to argue that anyone other than Tofu is the king is pointless. Just look at his price. That will tell you all you need to know. On the other hand, if you look at the prices of the some of the other Rebellion summoners, you'll see that not everyone is as popular as Tofu. What kind of "family" dynamic does that create?
For the People's Guild "Thanksgiving in Praetoria" challenge, I imagined what would happen if Tofu invited the other legendary Rebellion summoners over to his house for Thanksgiving dinner. Would they ALL come? Would ANY of them come? Watch Part 1 of "A Splinterlands Thanksgiving" below to find out:
I'm working on Part 2 now and will post later today. I won't be able to finish in it time for the People Guild contest though 😭 but I'll knock it out later tonight regardless. In California (US) it's primetime Thanksgiving RIGHT NOW and I gotta go eat a bunch of food with some random family and friends before finishing part 2 😋 Hope you all are having a great holiday too!
Hmmm, I wonder what Risqruel is thinking...
Great job, looking forward to Part 2. Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanks! Working on it right now, had to get some games in before eos 💪

Great post, @star-shroud ! That video took me right back to SNES days - the music, sound effects, animations - lotta fun. Thank you for participating, dude! Happy thanksgiving, Star! :)
Thanks for the doing these challenges! 💪
You nailed it! SNES is basically my style and mental imagery. I don't know if you ever watched old cartoon network shows like space ghost but also i get much inspiration from watching those shows too much as a kid!
I would definitely go!
I think it's looking like a fun awkward dinner! That's Thanksgiving!
