It's been a while since I've listened through the entirety of a Splinterlands Town Hall. I usually just wait for a summary of the announcements from AfterSound Gaming to get the gist of what has transpired. But after the lackluster of the first Town Hall of 2025, there was a rumor that this February one was one to look out for.And it surely did not disappoint. There was a growing discontent among the players regarding the marketing team hired by the team through the Hive funding.
And then Yabapmatt introduced Andrew from Not Corrupt Media, the company they partnered with to do the marketing. From that brief couple of minutes presenting their credentials and their plans for Splinterlands, I saw confidence. I was impressed with how Andrew discussed their strategies as well as handling the questions thrown at him.
I've also visited their website and they seem to have a good track record working with other web3 gaming projects. And this really brought back my confidence for the future of Splinterlands. In the past, marketing campaigns done by the company have been relatively ineffective, in my opinion. Matt has said before that they held off marketing until they have revamped the game interface and new user experience. And I think now is the time to pull all the stops as we're positioned well for a successful launch of Conclave Arcana.
I'm very optimistic now as to what the next three months will bring. If Not Corrupt Media delivers on their marketing goals for Splinterlands, we may potentially get the momentum that we were all waiting for even if alt season never comes. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and will try to support the team in any way I can.
