Good new for people who wants to try this best TCG on Hive , Splinterlands now has a feature to allow players to play the game without buying a $10 spellbook and still earn some rewards while enjoying the game.
So to help new players to navigate easier here is a simple guide to start.
Since no spellbook is not required you can just use your email address to register, just fill the boxes and your good to go.
Upon registration you will be directed to the game, where you can see abs where it will take you to the tutorials to know the basics of the game. So be sure to visit it first before proceeding.
As a default you will have access to the full chaos legion base set that you can use in battles. So if you wanted to have access to more cards you can rent from the market, but to be able to do that you should buy spellbook to gain access to more features.
Also if you have friends that have cards they are willing to delegate to you , this is one way to have access to stronger cards. I'm pretty sure if you used them you will be eager to acquire them.
So upon familiarizing the basics thru the tutorials you can now battle.
Winning battles enables you to earn Glints that can be used to buy cards draws and chest. So no SPS can be earned unless you get a spellbook.
Here are the things that you can buy with Glint.
So basing on this things, all I can say is that you will experience the game same as to players with spellbook. THe only difference is access to more cards and of course the SPS reward in winning rank battles. But this things should give you enough experience whether to continue with the game deeper.
