Hello splinter boys and girls living in the Splinterverse, hope you all are enjoying the recent pump in Splinterlands assets which is a clear sign of the bright future of the game! The crashing market is going to end in the Splinterlands soon or later. I am also very satisfied to be one of the Splinterlands believers because my Portfolio of the game assets like my card collection has started increasing again and already it has grown around 30% from $1300 to $1700 now which is a solid growth after such a tremendous drop! This can be predictable when the overall crypto market will enter the next bull season, the Splinterlands assets will be multiple times of the current value for sure.
During yesterday's town hall, the team finalized the requirement of SPS staking for the ranked battle leagues instead of CP which is going to be an immersive move for the total game economy of the game. This announcement has already made the upper movement of the SPS value and I think the value is not going down anymore. And also the amount of staking SPS will surpass the available SPS in liquid and there will be more shortage of the SPS and the price gonna increase more as the implementation time comes closer!
The upward movement is finally here after a couple of years of dumping trend of the SPS price. Though the price of the SPS has lost a lot more than many other cryptos in the running crypto winter Splinterlqnds is still at a very strong point in comparison to many blockchain games which were more popular in the mainstream media and among the whales and crypto community. Games like Axie Infinity, ILLUVIUM have been almost destroyed with such a massive adoption and their tokens were at the top position once. Also, numerous pumping and dumping games like Cryptoblades, and Thetan Arena has completely destroyed and their users are just fed up. But for Splinterlands, the players are always playing and they are more active than before and expecting a lot of positive sentiment which is really an amazing fact about Splinterlands!
Increasing SPS price vs Dumping Cards price and the BOTs Trio
Now the most important observation is to see the impact of the changes on the total game economy. It is crucial to eliminate and promote one asset by de-promoting the other one. But in the case of BOT farming, the situation will be really bright for the genuine players! Also my concern is as the following points-
The complete replacement of CP is not acceptable for keeping the cards in a stronger position! especially the weak cards will be in danger and people has the only thing to do is to burn them!
I prefer balancing in CP and SPS staking by making the ranked battle with both requirements just not only staking SPS but also the CP. these two can come along for more effectiveness in the game economy.
To make downgrade the BOTs-farming the CP requirement with SPS staking will be more effective and the asset value will be more sustainable in this way.
Time to buy SPS
And so I have started buying more SPS nowadays as my staking SPS is very negligible! Though it is not clear about the required number of SPS for the respective league, I can say that the requirement must be higher to make the SPS more valuable. As player, there are several things to remind before purchasing the SPS at a climbing price for the following concerns-
The LP rewards will be available and the demand will definitely increase.
But from the 3 B supply only less than 1 B supply is available now so inflation is still on the way.
So, aggressiveness in buying at a high price will be a foolish idea, let the situation be cool.
But for now, the price is at the bottom so you can buy as much as possible.
The card price will be down for the initial and the burning of cards will also increase, so the price will ultimately increase in the long run. So don't sell cards to buy SPS!
If you had any plan for running BOT-farming and BOT guild, stop ding that it will be a loss project for sure!

the total max supply of SPS is the same as DEC & DECB at 9 quadrillion.

Are you sure about the total supply of SPS is the same as DEC? I have found that there will be 3B for SPS as in their white paper- https://sps.splinterlands.com/distribution, I don't know if there is any change though!

How about a unique CP? Only single max is counted for CP and not additional copies? It will improve the cost of all cards. Also since it's in the roadmap now, it's hard to avoid CP replacement scenario! !1UP
I think that can be another way to use the CP but it should be not the max out of one rather than the highest level of the owner will be fine, otherwise many new players will be sufferer to max out many legendaries.
Yeah definitely the use of CP in these alternating way will make the cards expensive which is necessary for attracting more players.
I agree with you it is difficult but they put it in the roadmap and I don't support the complete replacement which will make more concerns and confusion among the players.

sps also give more money than renting now cards, but cards more stable money for sure, in few years cards as limited edition will increase but sps all depends on developers.
That's the critical decision to take, many will sell cards for SPS and that will dump the market and useless cards will be burnt and finally cards will be more exoensive, though the situation will say but abrupt decision must be avoided!

Yeah I agree with you and your strategy is definitely sensible you are also growing your SPS from the nodes and other assets also. I prefer the nodes which will definitely give you a solid return but at this moment GLX seems weaker I haven't invested in that but getting a tiny portion for my staked SPS. Nodes are going to dominate in the future decentralization of the game. Best of luck with your plan.

Yeah that is the best thing to do right now to accumulate SPS and more SPS in further dumped which I am not expecting anymore as already it has lost all its value already! it should increase now slowly and steadily.

Yeah, the price will definitely increase with the staking requirement implementation. And that will pull SPS from the dumping trend I think.
May be the upcoming changes may affect from all perspectives as there may be both requirements of SPS and the CP, and the renting cost of higher league cards may be profitable if you are lucky I think I have no idea I have concerns about the changes.
Sure you are getting a lot from your assets from every side which is really a great thing. I think the Nightmare pack was the best to enter into the GLX economy though I am not handling all of this investment perspective as it needs a ton of cash to get a lot actually. And over time these assets will definitely grow.
Yeah, you must make the rewards enter into your pocket in every situation of the game, and ultimately you will gain more with the development of the game at the end also.
