Hello, my lovely friends in the Splinterverse.
I hope that everyone is enjoying the Splinterlands every day. The game is becoming more exciting with the new addition of the recent land expansion. I have been writing about these learning and facts related to Splinterlands since the middle of 2022 in my daily blogging section to enter the weekly community challenge. A huge number of blockchain games have been shut down or are having problems, but Splinterlands' great community and dedicated developer team are keeping things going. Over the years, this game has changed the lives of hundreds of players, and many have even turned it into a job, which is what really drives the game. I have also been a Splinterlands player since 2021, and I am still in this universe and enjoying the game.
In August 2021, I began my journey with Splinterlands. In July, I made an account and bought the Spellbook. In August, I started buying cards to play the game. I bought some cards after learning about the skills, game rules, and other things that made the game fun. At that time, I was lucky enough to be looking for a guild. I found one, and the members helped me a lot as I started my journey. When I learned about their plans, I used them to get better at the game. As m y entry in the 'Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: Legends in the Making!' I am going to write this article on the this week's topic - 'Challenge Theme: Legends in the Making – Share Your Splinterlands Origin Story.'
Initially, I didn't spend a lot of money when I was new, which I now realize was a big mistake because everything was so cheap. I did spend a little money on Quest drinks to get more reward cards, though. Then the market rise too much and I had to buy some cards and I spent a handful of money, especially for the Chaos Legion edition. Unfortunately, the whole market collapsed so massively that everything lost about 99% of its value for many cards, and also, the SPS and DEC have lost significant value. This post is about my Splinterlands story with some incidents and memories that I still remember from the old days, and I want to share with you about them.
I can still remember that before the Chaos Legion reward sets, I spent a small amount of money on some quest potion to get more reward cards. But now, the quest potion for better rewards does not exist. During that time I got some amazing cards and one of my favorite card was the SAND worm and I got this card while I was playing with the mobile app and it was a great moment that I will never forget. Though many things have been changed and the whole game is now a completely new one but that memory is still evergreen for me.
In my initial investment, I spent a total of $1500 on card packs and individual cards in the initial years, and later, I bought more packs and cards from the rewards that I got from the bogging contest every week. But unfortunately I have lost most of the values of the cards, so from Last year I ahve stopped investing more and preparing for the next card edition to invest again and accumulating Hive for that.
Even though the market has crashed and there have been a lot of problems with bringing new players, about 100 new players join Splinterlands every day. However, very few people buy spellbooks, which is bad for the game's business system. But with the current announcement and strategy, I hope more new players will be in the ecosystem. From my own experience, I can recommend the following points for the future that I am going to concern and suggest new players to consider.
I am planning to use a lot of energy as I can not finish 24 battles every day with my schedule. Now that the land is expanding, new cards, spells, and items are coming out to make the game even more interesting. That's why I'm very optimistic about the game.
Once Lands Expansion 2.0 is released, spells, things, and new cards will be added, and the game will be even more fun than the current form.
The free cards from the reward chests and the direct Glint shops will be very powerful for decks. So it is very important to grab these reward cards as more as possible.
I hope there will be more collaboration with other projects that will attract more people to join the game economy.
With the next crypto bull run coming up, the game will be more profitable in every way because it is a great rewarding game.
More rewards, including the SPS, glint tokens, and merits, will be given in the standard battle and guild brawl battle, making the rewarding system more valuable.
With the scarcity of the cards and survival mode, the price of a card will go up.
In conclusion, I am still very confident with Splinterlands, even though the market has crashed a lot. With my continuous play and interaction, my assets will grow steadily. I'm happy with the game, how it's grown, and what's planned for the future.
