Greetings my Splinterverse friend.
I hope all of you are enjoying the game every day like me. Splinterlands is one of the blockchain games that has changed many people's lives and is the most sustainable game throughout the bitter winter market. If you are a newly joined player or a newcomer to the Hive Universe, then this blog is for you. Today I am going to tell you about the buzzing words related to the Splinterlands game with its evolution throughout the last 6 years. It is a great NFT-based blockchain card game that comes with earning opportunities for the players. The game has become a massive hub for players, investors, and development because it has a great community in the Hive universe as the pioneering game in the blockchain.
After the release of the game in back 2018, Splinterlands has gone through a massive level of development and an amazing number of regular players as it has been adopted widely. Being a card game, the first thing that is necessary is to release new cards constantly to make the game new always with different cards with new abilities and new game strategies to make the old players enjoy the game to the fullest. I know many people find the game very complex at a glance, so I will try to explain the most useful things here with a short description that makes you understand the overall game more quickly than reading the Splinterlands Documents for a long time. I hope it will help you.
Monsters, Summoners, and Decks
The first three words that you hear often are the Monsters, Summoners, and Decks. Monsters are the NFT cards that will do battle for you as a team against your enemy team in a PvP battle. A summoner is the leader of your team that will enable extra facilities for all the monsters but fight in the battle. The decks refer to different genres of soldiers such as the Army, Naval Force, or Air Fighters in the real world. In Splinterlands, you will explore Monsters from the different Splinter teams (decks): FIRE, EARTH, WATER, LIFE, and DEATH as major teams; including the neutral that can align with any team and DRAGON can also align with any team but it required a Dragon summoner to enter into the battle.
With the passage of time, Splinterlands has always been so attractive because of the growing number of card versions with a lot of new cards to deliver into the sphere. With each new edition, new themes, powers, and tactics have been added, making the gaming experience better for both old and new players. Here are the card editions that currently we have in the gameplay-
The Alpha and Beta Editions built Splinterlands' base with a strong set of cards and game features which are the most valuable cards with more power. The splitting fighting arena with Modern and Wild has made these cards cheaper than ever at the current market price.
The Untamed and Dice: Added new skills and connections to the game to make it more strategic. They have surpassed the limited abilities from the Alpha and Beta editions.
The Chaos Legion and Riftwatchers was the biggest card edition that made the market flooded with the CL cards with the cheapest card in the current scenario. These cards are the best to start your Splinterlands journey.
The latest edition, Rebellion, is offering a number of new levels of strategy with unique cards and powers that keep experienced players interested. These are the trending cards now and the most expensive in some senses. Some cards are more heavily powerful in this edition than the old cards.
Besides there are always some Reward cards with every edition and currently the Rebellion rewards cards are available to grab freely without any investment.
MANA, Heart, Armor, and Speed
These are the basic statistics of every monster in the game. MANA number means the required space to send them in the battle as every battle will have a different MANA cap which will define the total number of MANA of the team members. There are high MANA and low MANA monsters, generally High MANA monsters will have higher stats. Heart is the health of the monster which is destroyed by each attack it gains. The Armor is the primary attack absorber before the hearts are destroyed. Speed is defined as when the monster attacks the enemy team irrespective of team, the higher the speed, it will attack the opponent earlier.
Besides, there are many abilities for the monsters with many benefits such as increasing health as a healing ability, increasing speed, and many more. The summoners add these abilities to all of the team members in the battle.
MELEE, MAGIC, and RANGED attacks
There are three kinds of attackers in the battleground same as in conventional wars like face-to-face fighting, and fighting from the background team members. Melee attacks are a kind of Sword fighting that generally works when opponents are in front of the attackers. The Ranged and Magic attacks can hit from behind team members. The Melee and Ranged attacks destroy the Shield first, but the magic attacks can directly hit the hearts, so in this perspective, magic attacks are more powerful in battle.
Land Expansion
As the name of the game has the "LAND" portion, then there must be land functioning in the game. The land is being used to produce many resources where the monsters are working as the labor. Thus the land expansion added new resource management to the game, which is one of Splinterlands' most complex achievements. Now that players can own, control, and utilize plots with the earning opportunity. This expansion adds an extra economic layer that lets players take an active role in their Splinterland journey. Though the full land expansion is not implemented here soon it will be fully functional which will bring more fun to the game.
Splinterlands Economy
Splinterlands has passed the most difficult time in the last bear market but still, it has the strongest economy compared to any blockchain-based game currently available. The Play-to-Earn Opportunities are abundant for players who can get SPS coin prizes by battling, and more rewards by competing in events in the game. The True Asset Ownership in Blockchain technology makes sure that each person owns every card and item, can trade them, and rent them if they cannot afford to play a lot which can add a passive income to the card owners. Thus players can make extra money by giving out their cards through a card renting system in various 'marketplaces' where buying and renting activities are available.
The post is getting longer, so I will end it here, these are the most buzzing words in the Splinter Universe. If you have any suggestions or interests, you can ask me to write about something more though I will make my next post with the other things to make the new players grab the overall Splinterlands concept very quickly.
