With so many varieties, players can always come up with new strategies and so many tactics to make the gaming experience better than ever.
So, it is very important to learn a lot about the interesting new cards, especially about their abilities and how to make a solid combination with specific summoners. As a regular player of Splinterlands, I will try to share some tips regarding these battle strategies in this blog. I hope it will be useful whether you are a beginner who wants to do better or an experienced player who wants to take their game to the next level. You can also check my previous posts regarding different topics to do better in the game or share your thought here for the betterment of the whole community.
Knowing the Basics
These are the three main things you need to understand when making you are making a good deck in Splinterlands. I think most of you are mastr in these things as from the very early in battles you will face these challenges and issues and you will learn new things in every battle you do. There are 7 groups of cards mainly in Splinterlnds: Fire, Water, Earth, Life, Death, Dragon, and Neutral. Among these cards, they are divided into monsters and summoners. Monsters are the forces that fight for your team. They have their stats like Health, Attack Power, Speed, and Armour. Besides, each card can have some special power that can have a big effect on how a match turns out. Some abilities like "Sneak," "Flying," "Reach," and "Tank Heal" help them in battles.
On the other hand, summoners are a kind of card that improves the stats of the monsters in your team by providing some extra abilities or stats to all of your team members. The summoner's element also determines which cards can do the best in a specific battle. So it is very important to make sure that the monsters you choose work well with the summoner's abilities and perks. Summoners can add extra life, add extra speed, add some abilities, and sometimes they can deduct some stats from the enemy monsters. The last but not least important basic is to understand the mana cap for each battle in Splinterlands. This is the number of points you can spend on cards as monster cards have a specific point or MANA according to their stats. This MANA cap number can change from battle to battle, so you have to change your plan based on how much mana you can spend in the battle.
Understanding The Power of Synergy
The most important fact is to Make sure that your deck is balanced with the monsters and summoners and the battle rulesets which can be expressed as the 'synergy'. Synergy means how properly your monsters work with the other monsters and, most importantly, the summoner and the battle rulesets. Often higher level summoner or higher level cards may defeated in the battle if the synergy is not properly balanced in the team member and the summoners with the battle rulesets. In this context I can suggest the following points to be noted according to m,y knowledge and experiences.
Most of the monster has a set of abilities that can work together in various ways. Some abilities, like Pierce (which doesn't affect armour) or Blast (which hurts all enemies nearby), give you a solid benefit in a battle. Reversely some monster will provide you the reflection shield that can save your team members from the BALST, similarly some can make you stronger against different kinds of attacks such as the VOID and Shield that half the damage from the enemy. "Tank Heal" on a front-line monster can help your tank stay alive longer as it can gain life each round. Many mosters having the Opportunity and Sneak works like a distance attacker, doing damage from behind in the team. To balance your synergy, you can pair this with a monster that has Retaliate, your tank might be able to do more damage back to attackers when they attack, and using monsters with Shiled making a strong defence at the behind.
Tank Monsters are your first line of defence; they take most of the damage from enemy hits. High Health, High Armour, and Skills like Shield or Thorns should be given priority on your tank monsters.
The supporting monsters of your your team must have a lot of damage. They can have a lot of magic and range attacks that do a fantastic job here. To make sure they hit often and do regular damage, speed and aim abilities are also very important to ensure.
Some amazing monsters can give your team or your opponent team buffs or debuffs that make them stronger or weaker. There are some monsters that heal, some that speed up, and some that even have damaging effects like Weaken or Poison.
As I told earlier that your summoner has a big effect on how your deck is going to perform together. Summoners give you some extra stats that can boost up your monsters. So, try to pick a summoner that fits with your monsters, opponent possible team and the battle rules with proper MANA cost consideration.
Finally, it is very important to learn making a balance of your deck with the mana cap. To make a good deck, you need to know how much mana each card costs and how to combines the total MANA with the utmost stronger monsters for the team for the battle.
In conclusion, It is necessary to choose the best card that is adding to the Splinterland universe and collect a copy of that meta card to do better in the battle. It needs a proper plan for the editions. Like I have my most cards from the CL editions, so I am going to skip more cards in the Rebellion but going to grab all the cards from the next edition after the Rebellion to make sure I can play modern for longer time. And I have a lot of time to get ready for the next edition, and I am preparing now, which will make me more comfortable. I'm going to do these accordingly in 2025.
