Well, I have one now I guess.
I was going to wait for longer as I think the auction price will drop as it seems to be running out of steam, but ended up biting the bullet and saving @azircon from buying another Heloise the Hollow. This makes it 48/100 and while I know they will all go at some price, who knows what the price will be after they are all gone.
Based on the performance I have seen so far though, as scary as this pretty lady looks, she doesn't seem to be able to hold up too well in battle. I think that through the times I have faced her, I reckon I am sitting at around about a 70% win rate - which is a lot better than my average win rate. However, I am trying to remember that Chaos Legion cards will be leaving Modern soon, so maybe this card will be something that is better supported in the new meta.
First match surprise win:

While it might be devastating under the right conditions, I think it is pretty hard to play at the moment. At least for me, I am not yet sure where she fits into the team, and what kinds of rulesets are appropriate for her to control. it seems a bit hit and miss, and of course, if she doesn't do the damage early enough, there is the risk that the weary applied on the resurrect will put the entire rest of the team out of commission - as almost happened in the game above. Even monsters with Immunity will catch the plague of lethargy.
I caught lethargy years ago.
Be that as it may, perhaps it will be a significant bit player in my limited arsenal, that I can call on to win a few rounds - because I need all the help I can get. RNG is not my friend and I have the feeling that it is the friend of some of the other accounts. What would be nice for the real players in Splinterlands is a decent stat page where all battles can be combined. I don't know what is required for that, but once the team is set, there is very little dynamic that happens, so tracking the outcomes should be pretty easy?
As RNG is such a big part of the game now, I would like to see stats on cards compared to the predicted, and I would like to be able to compare these across accounts. "Provably fair" should mean that no account or group of accounts should have an advantage over time. The odd surprise win or loss here and there against the probabilities is expected, but if they are consistently outside the probabilities?
But more than that, statistics make a game far more sticky for the player base, which is why every mainstream game is bombarded with numbers to see ticking over. Crypto is filled with people who love to watch numbers tick already, so it should be a no-brainer to have stats for the game. These also become identifiers and provide bragging rights, which creates a more interactive community on multiple layers.
But I just play the game.
I wish I was smarter.

Congrats on your auction purchase! I tried to snap up some of that cheap DEC under .008 but I was too slow to buy the dip. I think I'm resigned to buying meta Beta GF and Alpha RF cards instead of Heloise. I've got my eye on a few Heloise print numbers, like lucky 52, but I don't think I'll have my funds ready to be deployed in time.
Yeah, I am not sure if it is going to be worth it. For you though, you play wild, so you can collect far cheaper than I paid for my wild cards!
Yes i am seeing nice prices for the meta cards in wild from a/b/u sets. especially looking at beta GFs
Great to see you post about Splinterlands again :)
:)
I go through phases. I feel like if I post too often about SL, it dilutes other stuff. It is a bit silly though, as I should just post whatever is on my mind :)
Oh man I’m so out of the loop on Splinterlands it’s wild lol. The cards look cool and your match was pretty complicated but I suspect with max levels all around it ends in fatigue most of the time these days?
I couldn’t even tell which card you were referring to here as I don’t know most of them on those lineups lol
Depends a bit on the ruleset - some are very long battles, but with the "skip to fatigue" it isn't too bad :)
:D
I don't seem to have the funds needed to participate in a lot of these auctions. That is cool that you were able to snag one. At least now you won't have to wonder what might have been!
They are bloody expensive! I haven't bought most of the other "legend" cards. Perhaps if I had a win ratio like those top guys taking all the DEC, I could afford it.
I totally understand!
Congrats on getting a copy of Heloise. I think it will be more dominant in plays once forcefield cards leave modern assuming we don't get those on conclave arcana.
I assume there will be more coming, but I also think that reflection shield will play a large role.
I just go back into playing I feel like I missed so much.
There is a lot going on - hopefully it is for the better!
Gratzz! on your auction win. That card will be the stuff of many stories I think, I am sure you will enjoy playing with it
Let's see how it plays. Hit and miss with it so far!
I have never played Splinterlands. I was curious, I looked into it but I did not continue to play it.
As you said, having in-game statistics and writing a few codes to make it visible to everyone is enough.
It is an expensive game to get into - I think there should be an easier ramp in for lower levels :)
I think you are now unemployed and have much more spare time to play the game :)
Will have to start job searching soon :)
Do you have unemployment pay there?
Thanks for sharing! - @azircon
Good luck and more wins.

It’s a fun card to play. I am quite attached to play her in my line up, and yes with CL gone she will be devastating I expect!
I have only played her that one time so far - will try to shoehorn her in for some fun :)
