RE: Drilled, but not hard enough

I wanted to win games without learning too much about the cards.

This approach isn't going to work for most things! :D

The second hurdle was my inability/unwillingness to invest in cards.

This is a problem for many. They can be an investment, but I think it is worth seeing them as a game enabler first.

I know you donated me cards to help my battles :) Even then, I did not use that offer to the true potential.

I noticed ;)

I left because I was thinking too much about Hive. What started as a fun hobby became something more.

This is again, a problem for many - once the money is on the table, people put too much focus on it, killing their human reasons for being here. Have fun, chat, engage, talk in discords, joke around and when you write, write content that you love, not that you think will get votes.

That's a clinical surgery of my comment right there :) I agree that SL games are not that easy compared to when it started. It is really competitive and I may have to spend some time to learn before I get back into again. I may reach out to you for help one more time.

I am planning to make it a true fun experience this time around so that I do not burn myself. I will focus on producing posts where I can enjoy and not worry too much about the reward. Let's see how far I will be able to go this time.
