Yesterday I also moved some more money into Splinterlands to buy land. Right now the focus is all on the Chaos packs but that excitement will fade once people start digging into their new packs. Once the new packs are all opened people will looking at how those packs fit into the game and make a new meta. Then people will start looking at the land expansion.
I'm preparing for that hype now and getting a plot while I still can! However, those plots are expensive at around $600. Also they aren't sold in pieces so no fractional ownership its one plot or no plot. After grumbling at the price a bit I bought one and was the happy owner of a new plot. There weren't any mechanisms for getting the plot into the game so I could get my SPS drop from it.
I found two references to how it is done. One on splintertalk and one or Youtube. It seems you have to 'withdraw' the plot from the exchange (hive-engine for me) to steemmonsters
Now moving a $600 asset to any account without my name on it was scary. Knowing if I mistype the address the asset is lost forever is scary. So, to make it a little less scary I posted the explorer log from when I purchased the plot. Hopefully it makes the next person who has to do it a little less worried.
Side note: When I used splinterlands to move the DEC back in game it also shows a transfer to @steemmmonsters so now I know I've been using their account all along, it was just hidden in the interface.
Happy hunting everyone!
Things seem to be doing much better today at least!
SPS is doing nicely. DEC holding its own. My PLOT is actually up about 20 HIVE which is nice. I'll add it onto the daily list tomorrow :)
Is the plot repaying itself partly in SPS with the increase in airdrop points ?
Okay. It hasn't hit the balance sheet yet because that's for tomorrow's update. But the PLOT cost 72,000 DEC but it gives 10,000 DEC worth of value towards SPS drop. So, yes it is partly paying itself.
But... if I just left it on the exchange no SPS drop points that's why I had to take a deep breath and figure out how to get it into the game.
