Hello guys! Here is my submission for this week's Share Your Battle Challenge! The theme this week is the Centauri Mage! As I am a new player, my Centauri Mage is only at level 1, so I haven't had a chance to play with it's repair ability that is unlocked at level 5! I can't wait to try it out! Enough about that though. Let's get into the battle:
Share Your Battle Challenge: Centauri Mage
As you can see, we are dealing with:
Mana Cap- 30
Rules: Melee Mayhem-Melee monsters can attack from any position.
Fog of War-Monsters loose all sneak and snipe abilities.
That being considered, Let's take a look at my line-up, and why I picked each card!
Summoner: Scarred LLama Mage Level 2
I went with the Scarred LLama Mage specifically for the Healing and Last Stand abilities! Last Stand works well typically during non-sneak or non-snipe type matches, as it allows the player more control over that given last stand scenario! If all of the monsters are forced to attck the front position, then you always know who the last standing should be!
The Line-Up:Tank-Unicorn Mustang Level 3
I choose the Mustang mainly for the magic defense, I figured the longer I could keep my tank alive, the more damage it and my ranged monsters could dish out! If I had higher-level cards, I would have used a flesh golem with healing in it's place, but he worked fine for the job!
Back-up: Centauri Mage Level 1
I went with the Centauri Mage in the second spot to cover my ranged defenses. Having Return Fire unlocked at level 1, it makes it easy to dish damage back! And with 9 health, it makes for a great second line of defense, making it 19 health to burn through between the Mustang and the Mage before my lower health cards are in danger!
Support: Wood Nymph Level 3
I choose the Wood Nymph Level 3 in support for the healing ability to help my Tank and Back-Up stay in longer! Plus, that direct magic damage can help chip away at opponents health to help the front line!
Last Stand Position: Djinn Biljka Level 1
My final spot was taken by the Djinn! With only a few mana left to work with, the Djinn seemed like an underrated close to the match if things went south! Though his namesake ability did no good in a match without snipe or sneak, his 2 magic damage and ability to buff up tremendously with Last Stand, he seemed like the best option that I had in my deck to choose from!
As you can see, the opponent's line-up barely touched my Mustang, and we left the battle without loss! Nothing feels better than a flawless victory! Of course, I don't mean flawless in the sense that I did not make mistakes! In the future, I would like to make better use of the Last Stand ability, a better back-up in the final spot could definitley be found! What do you guys think?
If you have any tips or tricks that can help me get better, feel free to comment below! I am still only a little over a week into playing Splinterlands, so any advice will surely help me get better and is appreciated! Until next time guys!
