Brighton Bloom (Level 1)
Splinter | Dragon |

Mana cost | 4 |

Ability | Flying |
Rarity | Rare |
I really like to use Brighton when Earthquake rule is on. And this time it was on. I think this is very useful but a situational summoner. Flying gives some dodge chance as well, but it is gambling in my opinion. But it shines most with earthquake rule.
Brighton Bloom is a rare card from the dice set. It was the first booster pack in splinterlands. It is a summoner for the dragon team. It is special because you can choose 1 more splinter besides dragon. As I mentioned it is a situationaly card so it is reflected in it's price. It costs only 12.30$ at the time of writing. I think it is not that much but again it can be really situational. As you can see from the table below there are more than 15k copies in circulation so it will be available for a while if someone decides to purchase one.
Here comes the battle:
I was in silver 3 at the time of the battle.
Rules:
Battle modifiers | Mana cap | Available splinters |
---|---|---|
Explosive Weaponry | 21 | All but Water |
Earthquake | - | - |
So what did I chose to do?
For Summoner: Brighton Bloom it will negate the Earthquake rule. This is the main point of my choice. It can be countered with Snare or Vera Salacia (Water was out by the rules). But I thought that an Earth team will come.
Monsters:
- Legionnaire Alvar as I mentioned earlier I was expecting an Earth team so I brought this card for the front line. Thanks to Void Armor it is good against magic as well as any other type of damage. So a very good tank.
- Void Dragon as a kind of off tank. Again I was waiting for an Earth team so I chose this card with Void. This ability can decimate magic damage users.
- Child of the Forest I had a Sinper quest so I chose this card for the backline. It has 5 speed + Flying from the summoner so it can dodge a lot (or at least I expected it). The Child has Snipe as well. Which I hoped to use to kill at least 1 enemy backliner.

Did my strategy work?
Yes, I won the battle. Thanks to Flying I had some dodges those were needed for the win. Without them I'm sure I would've lost the battle.
What will I try differently next time?
Given this ruleset I would not change my lineup. I know that it was a risky tactic, but sometimes you have to risk to win.
Thanks for the reading, I hope you enjoyed, see you on the battlefield!
Great post! 🙂
