Grum is OP Situationally

I decided to make this video because i always see people poopooing grum flameblade. Now yes he is crazy slow, but also crazy OP if you learn which rulesets make him shine; this to me means don't just throw him in there and expect a hard carry every time.

I find him best in Reverse Speed, Melee only, Opportunity, Melee can attack from anywhere and Super Sneak. Generally Opportunity and Super sneak is where i feel he shines the most. This is because you can send some slightly faster units (at the start) to soften up any small armor on the units before grum hits, but once he does get a couple of kills under his belt his speed rises and he becomres a steam roller.

Here I showcase a melee only with opportunity even against a lorna shine was not a match for this ruleset. So like i said he is situational and not the be all end all of fire, but he is one of my favorite units being so much fun and surprise with the right compliment in the ruleset.

By 'ruleset' you mean 'with Kitty'- right?
Because THAT is the ruleset to use him in, every time.

no i don't mean "with kitty" lol, yes that does help but was trying to create something for those that can't afford that expensive card

? A L1 Kitty is < 5 cents/day....
Even a L2 is < 20 cents. Not sure what your definition of 'expensive' is but- I hope it's not a quarter.

Playing with Kitty makes EVERY ruleset better than the occasional 'Reverse Speed'

I'm going with purchased/owned cards, trying to not rely on rentals because i get sick of them getting pulled 2 days before EOS

eh, you do you.
I normally just rent up, run up the ladder to Diamond and play there until near EOS.

but, I only own 500K in CP- so I rent all that out.

Fair enough i'm just shy of 70k that i own so trying to give some perspective with slow accumulation with minimal renting ;) Have seriouly thought about doing the rent for big push then chill not going to lie

A bunch of the guys in my Guild do a 24/24 system
They Rent Up
grind for 24hrs (getting 2 Quests)
when their ECR hits <60, stop
Then they wait for their ECR to get back to >90... repeat
Basically, they play every other day and still get all their quests while only renting 1/2 the time.
Easier to handle being in Gold that way- and then.... BIG push a few days out from EOS

Good to know. Yes I have watched him fold like a lame duck sometimes. Team mates and placement is crucial. 😀
