Once again, I am excited to share the details of this interesting battle. The mana cap was 32 and the ruleset was "noxious fumes". With such a ruleset, it means that every unit in battle would have it's health reduced by 2 every round.
Based on this ruleset, I decided to go with strategies that would give me an advantage in battle.
One of the strategies I went for was to choose Possibilus the wise as summoner.
This is because this summoner adds +2 health to every unit as the battle starts. With this, I was able to minimize the effect the ruleset had on my units. In addition to boosting the health of my units, Possibilus the wise adds the trample ability and the reach ability to my units. That's more advantage.
My second strategy is that I specifically went for units that had massive health stats. One that note, I'll go into my line up. My line up consists of 3 units. One of the reasons for this is because of the mana cap, which isn't much.
In the first position, I put Legionnaire Alvar.
It has 8 armors which is enough to protect its health from melee and ranged attacks. In addition, it has a health of 6 which enabled it stay in battle for a prolonged period. One of the major reasons I went for this monster was its void armor ability which makes magic attack hit it's armor first.
In the second position was Nerissa Tridawn.
She's a magic attack monster. Her health stat is at 13. Just the perfect fit for this battle. She was a really determining factor in this battle. Her attack was really devastating to the opposing team
In the third position, I put Wave brood.
This was another strategic inclusion. First, it has a massive health stat of 13, which again, suits the ruleset of the battle. So despite the fact that its health will be depleted by 2 every round, combined with attacks from enemy units, it will be still maintain its ground in battle. In addition, this monster has 2 important abilities. First is taunt. With this ability, it was able to draw attacks to itself, letting my tank do its damage for a period. It also has the close range ability which lets it attack even when it gets to the first position in battle. You can see clearly that my choice of units were very strategic to give me every advantage I could get.
The battle was a fierce one. As expected, Wave brood came under heavy attack by the opposing units. My opponent had five units compared to my three with Kelya Frendul as summoner. My tank, Legionnaire Alvar launched attacks in combination with other units. I was able to eliminate 2 enemy units but Wave brood paid the price as it was also eliminated. Eventually only Nerissa Tridawn remained from my team against three enemy units. However, by the time the noxious fumes hit, all the enemy units were eliminated because their health had taken severe hits. Nerissa Tridawn was the only unit standing tall, and it was a victory for me.
