Are you ready for Rebellion conflicts ?

in Splinterlandslast year

Conflicts are here to replace the old airdrop system for main pack sets. In the past we got airdrops based on how many packs we bought from the in-game store, but this is about to change drastically.

  • What are conflicts ?

Conflicts are like a proof of ownership for Rebellion assets. Every asset from the new Rebellion collection holds value which you can use towards competing in the conflicts. Yes "Competing" as when with the previous airdrop systems we were all working for our own odds to get airdrops, now we will be fighting each other for chances to get the airdrop cards.

Lore wise, in participating in conflicts you are helping Battle Mages fuel the Rebellion. You will send your rebellion cards to the field to support the troops, in which you are rewarded with Airdrop rewards for your war efforts.

  • Where can I find conflicts ?

The conflicts will be found in the "SHOP" page. You can either scroll down to find it, or click in the top right on a little pop up.

  • How do conflicts work ?

There are 5 points you will need to understand to know how the conflicts work

  1. For Rebellion there will be 9 conflicts in total, with each conflict running for exactly 1 month.

  2. Wagons cost 50 vouchers each and allow to hold up to 5 cards and 100 packs for each wagon.
(To my understanding there is no limit to how many wagons one can buy and the wagons will be usable for next conflicts also).

  3. Points are distributed on a hourly basis for your wagons, for every 100,000 points you will receive 1 chance at a card drop, at the end of a conflict the amount of available cards will be divided with the number of chances all the people collected and that will give us the % each chance has to drop a card.
For example: the QA server has currently 21000 chances collected by everyone and only 4000 cards are available, giving every chance around 18% drop rate

  4. Each card will have a 2% chance of being Gold foil, but there will be an option to spend vouchers to boost your chances to 4% for Gold foil.

  5. Only Rebellion packs and cards can be used to participate in the conflicts

  • What do I need to participate in conflicts ?

Firstly to participate in the conflicts you will need to purchase at least 1 Wagon. Wagons cost 50 Vouchers each. But the good news is that the wagons are souldbound to your account and you can use them for future conflicts also.

Secondly you will need points to contribute, there are 2 ways to get points for conflicts.

  1. For each unopened pack you will get 150 points per hour, 1 wagon can carry up to 100 packs. (These packs can be bought from Hive-Engine, or other 3rd party also. They don't have to be bought straight from Splinterlands).
  2. Rebellion cards will give points based on their Collection Power value, for example a Gold Foil Rare card will give you 500 points per hour, but you can also combine, let's say for example 4 cards, to get 2000 points per hour from that card (You can enter up to 5 cards into 1 wagon).

Some Bonus tips for conflicts

  • The cards you enter into the wagons can still be used for ranked play
  • You will need 4167 points per hour to get 1 chance per day
  • When in the conflicts page, in the top right there is a cool button, you should click it to gain all the wisdom you may need.
