Here I am again for another week of the Splinterlands Fan Art Contest where I draw my chosen Splinterlands character to enter the Weekly Fan Art Contest.
And my pick for this week to draw is…
Drumroll, please!
Stone Golem

The drawing of Stone Golem in Splinterlands Lore is quite simple, so I thought of taking a slightly different approach in drawing it.
I wanted to add more depth to its details, with a bit more shadow.
Outline –
I started by sketching the figure first. Since Stone Golem is made of stone, shaping its form wasn’t difficult, but adding details to make it look like stone was challenging.
Once I completed the rough sketch, I thickened it using a charcoal brush, which is my favorite brush.
After thickening the outline, I also drew the floor. I decided to use a rocky floor since it suits its stone nature.
Coloring –
I used only one base color for Stone Golem, and once I finished coloring the base, I began shading.
Shading –
For shading, I used various shades of colors close to brown and gray to highlight Stone Golem’s details. For the flooring, I used yellow and orange to make the colors more vivid.
Background –
For the background, I chose a gradient of pastel yellow and pastel light blue. It was my first time using this combination for the background, but I was pleased with the result.
I added some clouds to the sky using a clouds brush.
