I haven't started survival mode yet. I'm still trying to sort out the sets so that my main playing deck doesn't get used. Was also waiting for the stronger players to move up so I don't get crushed by the players you mentioned in your post!

Definitely get in during the last 24 hours of the season, as the cooldowns reset at the season reset!
