Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: Tips that are the keys!

Add a heading (1).png

This week's Community Engagement Challenge is about tips and tutorials for climbing the ranks in the game. And here I will share some very simple yet important things from my experience which I am sure will not only improve your rank in the game but also help you understand the game deeply without putting in extra effort.

To be honest, when I first got involved with this game, my only interest was to blog about it and get votes. Just play a few games, make a nice blog about them every week and get good votes from the community, but after a few weeks, I realized that getting votes on blogs is just one way out of many other great ways to generate a good income through this game.
And for that, we must move forward in the game and try to do better. What is stopping you from moving forward right now? Perhaps it is your lack of understanding of the game. Whenever you plan to learn everything, then looking at the countless cards, abilities, meanings, combinations, and limitations in the game, you may feel that you will not be able to do it.
Well, if you are thinking of doing everything in one day then yes, maybe neither you nor any of us will be able to do this. It may sound a little strange but here a simple life lesson needs to be applied. Set your goal just like you dream of a better life and then try to take one step towards that dream every day, even if that step is very small because every effort of yours matters.

To put it simply, instead of thinking about a sea of cards, abilities, rules, and limitations all at once, try to learn something new every day. It is also not necessary that you will move forward by learning all the information related to a card or ability at once. Initially, I thought that I would move forward by learning everything about all the summoners and their cards and powers one by one, but practically this is not possible because it is not only necessary to know about an ability but also to become friendly with it by trying it in different situations and since the initial rules of the battle in the game including the ruleset keep changing, you cannot stick to one topic. So to improve your ranking, I suggest you try to learn from every battle. If one of your cards didn't attack well or the enemy card was hyperactive in a battle, then as soon as the battle is over, go to the learning section of the game and read about the abilities of that card or go to the community Discord and talk to fellow players about that extraordinary card and find out why a card performed differently.
You know, sometimes knowing even very basic things can give us a huge advantage on the battlefield. I recently learned that melee attackers can only attack from anywhere with certain special abilities, but if those abilities are not there, then even your best melee attackers remain almost inactive on the battlefield due to being in the wrong place. Or your ranged attackers can also attack from the first position only if they have close-range ability and healers and defenders are as important in a battle as attackers are. Choosing the right summoner can make even your basic cards into a great team. The Trample ability with melee attackers gives each of your attackers somewhat of a Double Strike like ability because every time your melee attacker knocks out an enemy card, it can perform another similar attack on the next enemy card. Another thing I noticed during battles is that in battles with the Noxious Fumes ruleset, it's better to pick cards with higher health than shields because at the end of each round Poison deals -2 health to every player and no matter how many shields you have left, if you run out of health it's game over.

I have learned these and many other things not just by reading something written somewhere but by entering the real battlefield of this game. I have not shared any secret trick because as far as I know there is no such thing. The best way to improve your rank is to give time to this game and try to learn something new with every battle. As your understanding of the game becomes stronger, your rank will improve with every battle you win and at the same time new and bigger doors of rewards will open for you.

I hope you learned something good from my blog! 😊🙏
