Each time I earn these points, knowing their worth and usefulness, I appreciate the ingenuity of the SPlinterlands developers and strategists who thought of that reward system. I was bereft of rewards in my early days as a SPlinterlnad player. All I enjoyed was the "free-to-play" concept of the game and the lessons I drew from the battles. It was pretty difficult to earn SPS, even when winning battles and trying to rise from the base league.
However, earning Glint rewards is one thing, knowing he to use it is another thing, hence, the quote that every spark has value; it's how you use it that determines the fire it ignites. This quote captures the idea that Glint may seem like a small reward at first, but when used strategically, it can unlock greater benefits in the game. Though they may come small depending on your league, SPS staked and other factors, when spent wisely, can lead to greater victories in the game. This is because you can use the rewards to unlock amazing cards to upgrade the strength and capacity of your battle deck.
How to Use Glint Rewards: A Step-by-Step Guide
In this tutorial article, new Splinterlands players will learn how to earn, spend, and maximize Glint rewards effectively.
What is Glint in Splinterlands?
Glint is a new in-game nontransferable reward currency introduced in the Splinterlands game. Players earn Glint by participating in Modern or Wild ranked battles or by Burning Soulbound Reward Cards. Glint may be used to purchase items in the Reward Shop. Glint is earned throughout each season and then distributed at the end of each season as an additional reward. At inception after the update on 4/2/2024, Glint was earned through participation in the Ambassador Program.
How Much Glint tokens Can I Earn?
Glint earned for a specific battle can be viewed on the Battle Results screen as "Glint Earned".
If you hover over the screen icon next to "Glint earned" the details of the Glint bonus sources and their respective percentage will be revealed as indicated by the blue arrow below:
Where to Find Your Glint Balance
You can check your Glint balance by navigating to the battle area in the Splinterlands interface.
What Do You Use Glint For?
You can use Glint to purchase exciting rewards like Soulbound Cards, Loot Chests, Potions, and Merits to stay at the top of your game!
You can use your Glint by navigating to the GWEN’S GLINT SHOP section in the Splinterlands interface. The Rewards Shop stocks everything from Potions and Soulbound Cards to JACKPOT prizes. Available stock refreshes at the start of every Ranked Season.
How to Use Glint in Splinterlands
Now that you’ve accumulated some Glint, let us explore how you can spend it effectively.
1. Purchasing Reward Cards
Glint can be used to purchase additional reward cards at any time. However, the available stock refreshes at the start of every Ranked Season.
Here, a player can draw cards based on rarity. The Glint needed to uncover a card increases with the card rarity. Common cards require 150 Glint, Rare cards: 750, Epic cards: 7,500, and Legendary cards: 35,000. Gold-foiled cards can also be drawn.

The card possesses a "demoralize ability" with a low manna cap. A list of cards drawn using g GLint points can be tracked. See mine.
2. Purchasing Loot Chests
Glint can be used to purchase additional reward chests at the end of the season or for daily focus chests.
3. Purchasing Resources
Resources such as "Build a Guild Store, Energy, Legendary portion, and Alchemy portions can be purchased with Glint points. Energy is used to increase the count of battles a player can play within a 24-hour window. Legendary portions are used to increase a player's chances of getting a legendary card in draws and card packs. Alchemy portions are used to increase a player's chances of getting Gold foil cards in draws and card packs.
4. Purchasing Exclusive Items
Exclusive titles such as "the Proven, the veteran, and the renowned" can be purchased with GLint points. These items are utilized in Splinterlands land productions.
5. Future Uses
Splinterlands developers may introduce new utilities for Glint, such as staking, governance participation, or exclusive marketplace deals. It is expected that skins and cosmetics, more Land related items, and random loot chests, promo cards, etc, would be drawn or purchased with GLint in the near future.
Tips for Maximizing Glint Rewards
Engage in battles consistently and participate in Guild Brawls to maximize your earnings. Also, monitor in-game updates – Keep an eye on announcements to learn about new ways to earn and use Glint.
